Promise I won’t give up!!!

Jamie "Alex when I get back home, I promise that we'll have ton of fun but until then just be patient, okay? Don't be rude and trouble your mom!"

Alex "I won't dad, I promise you."

Jamie (Smiles) "Be a good boy and take care!!" Jamie pats Alex and says farewell. Young Alex smiles and cries at the same time. He is overjoyed by the things that his father said. He then makes a bow to himself to become a person like did dad and never give up.

This was the last thing that Alex remembered before his last breath. Covered with a pool of blood, Alex is in tears. He didn't fulfill his promise.

Alex *I can't handle this pain anymore. I wanted to become as good as you but I can't, it's too hard for me to become strong. Why do I always get beaten up? No matter how much I strive, the results never pay off. I hate this and I don't want to think about it. I'm going to die but why am I even caring about this. Why do I feel a pain in my heart and why am I remembering a noisy world. It's too much for me to handle. I give up? I, I really don't care. (Alex chokes) I, I am sorry dad and mom. Please forgive me, please.*

The room is silent but Alex's mind isn't. A voice comes to the rescue of Alex and whispers to him "It was always hard; it wasn't going to be easy, not for you and not for everyone."

Alex assumed by the voice finally wakes up. He is in a place which is covered with clouds and the sky is made of seas. Tiny droplets of water are falling from the sky. Whenever it hits Alex, he gets a vision. It's a memory of someone random who decided to give up and ended their life. The visions scare Alex and he falls to his knees. He covers his eyes in disbelief and yells. A soft hand touches Alex's hand and makes him feel relief. As soon as Alex opens his eyes, the beauty that he saw makes him stun for a while. It was as if he was in a paradise. The magnificent view makes him smile.

Seeing Alex smiling, Viola questions him. Viola "Isn't this beautiful?"

Alex "It is, it's very beautiful."

Viola "Won't you question me about who I am?"

Alex (shocked and puzzled) "What?"

Viola "My name is Viola, you're ancestor and this place where we are standing is known as 'Chamber of the heart'."

Alex "So, I'm dead?"

Viola "Why are you so eager to die? Wasn't life beautiful for you? Didn't you feel any pain?"

Viola "Pain, it was the reason I died. I like to be set free nor locked up in a room by myself where a demon tortures me for pleasure. I rather die than living such a life."

Viola "The demon that hurts you is just a demon that your imagination made up. If you really try then that demon can be your strength and help you."

Alex "I don't know what that demon can do but I have already made a decision that can't be reversed so, there's no point of convincing me."

Viola smiles and approaches Alex and hugs him. As soon as Viola hugs Alex he cries. He bursts into tears and falls to his knees. Touching Viola made him realize how weak he was. It made him truly realize the mistake he did.

Alex (crying) "I don't know what to do? Everything that I try to do just gets even more complicated and I end up making a mistake. I wanted to save Ninja but I couldn't. I wanted to become strong as my dad but I am still weak. I'm arrogant and don't listen to anyone."

Viola "It's ok to cry. Let your emotions come out. Let it flow like an endless river. Alex remember this, Ninja didn't die because of you nor did he sacrifice your life for you. It was just an accident. You tried your best but sometime people have to bid farewell. That doesn't mean the end of the world. When you can't search for the light you need to accept the darkness and move on. Just do that."

Viola is also known as the queens of hearts as she is a wizard who has the power to make others know their greatest weakness and move on. She can read and know the things that are hidden in people hearts and help them get stronger.

Alex "Thank you for helping me but there's no point in realizing my mistake now. I already gave up on my life, it's pointless."

Viola "It's not. You're not dead you're your heart is still beating. Don't worry; you'll be able to see the sun again."

Alex "What do you mean? Wasn't I dead?"

Viola "The chamber of hearts is a place which doesn't exist in the physical world but in the imagination of a person. You might have stabbed yourself with a knife but thanks to your friend, you're not going to die."

Alex (smiles) "Ninja passed away but he still helped me to stay alive?"

Viola "Yes, when you were about to get crushed Ninja transmitted his magic power to you and saved you."

Alex "But how did that save me again?"

Viola "You see, we sages each have a soul inside us. The god gifted us each with a unique personality and soul and that is why we look different and behave different from eachother. And the soul that is inside your body is the soul of Phoenix. That soul has a capability that no other soul possesses. The soul of Phoenix helps you to utilize fire properly."

Alex "So that the reason why I am so good with fire?"

Viola "Yes, the fire of Phoenix can be enraged and turned into black which can burn anything for eternity or can be converted into bright blue color that can heal you. Besides, this there's another thing that only the Phoenix can do. It's called the will of Phoenix. The Phoenix can learn more than one type of magic and when Ninja transferred his magic to you, your soul captured it. When you stabbed it, your instinct rose and used Ninja's magic to save you."

Alex "That sounds complicated but I think I get it."

Viola "Your physical body is still healing and will take more time. You were saved by your friend this time but the next time who knows what's going to happen so don't do anything stupid."

Alex "Don't worry, I won't"

Viola "And before you go, let me tell you this. Inchaos is a spirit who causes chaos but if he is handled properly he can become your greatest ally but it all depends upon your situation. If you feel good and are strong, he won't wake up but if you're are mentally disturbed then he will torture you again."

Alex (smiles) "I know I was coward before but I promise that I won't let him do anything according to his wish again. I want to utilize the will of Phoenix and become stronger. I'll inherit Ninja's will and his powers and maintain his legacy."

Viola smiles *Ashoka you were right about this boy. He surely has the charm and power to change his and others feelings. I'm sure he will be able to break the chain and free our kingdom.*

Viola (with a straight voice) "I know you'll do but I must warn you this. After you wake up, you can't get angry for even once otherwise, Inchaos will rise. You can't let your emotions get the better of you because Inchaos is soul who loves to play with other's emotions and torture them."

Alex gulps and punches at his heart and with a loud voice he yells "I PROMISE YOU THAT I WON'T GET ANGRY! I WON'T GIVE UP UNTIL I ELIMINATE THE DARKNESS INSIDE MYSELF. If Ninja could do it, then I must also do it."

Viola "It's good to hear that and before you there's something I'd like you to tell. Once you wake up, you'll meet a beast by the name Garseal who will train you and help you become a sage spirit beast wizard. He'll also teach you how to control and use the power of souls and more importantly, he has one of the 4 destruction soul. Its name is Ashura the god of battle. I used to be the yielder of it and now I entrust it to you so, don't let me down."

Alex "I won't let you down and give it my best. I will become stronger."

Viola "It's time for me to say goodbye now."

As soon as Viola says this, Alex wakes up. He feels better than before. He goes outside and looks at the sun; finally he acknowledges it and moves on. A week passes by and Alex starts to feel better. He is not living in his own apartment but instead is living in his parent's house. Like every usual day, Alex wakes up but this time his father Jamie is beside him.

Jamie "So, you've woken up?"

Alex "Yeah, somehow I managed to wake up early."

Jamie "I was thinking of something. I think you should go to your grandparent's house for some time now. I'm not saying this because I think you're a burden or anything but it's because I believe in you. I'm mostly busy and can't give time for you nor dad and mom. I couldn't become a good father nor a son but unlike me you're a good son….."

Alex (interrupts Jamie) "…You just overthink, you are already a good son and a good dad. Your job is had so you can't give time to us and we understand. Just give your focus on your mission and I'll give my focus on the family. I'm still young but I can handle things on my own. And I know you want to send me to my grandparents because grandpa can train me to become stronger and granny likes me a lot. You just want to see them smile, don't you?"

Jamie"Yeah, you could say that."

Alex "Don't worry, I'll go. I want to see granny's face anyway. By the way, does mom agree with this?"

Jamie "Actually, she doesn't but I'll convince Elise somehow."

Alex left his home for his grandparent's house. After walking some miles he finds a giant frog that is unconscious and is speaking. The frog is repeating the word Alex time and again. Turns out he is the beast who was supposed to train Alex become stronger. Alex accompanied by his beast gives his best at mastering his new abilities and become stronger. Day by day he learns something new and is trying his best to defeat Ashura. In this journey Alex befriends with 2 other individuals and together they help Alex defeat Ashura but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't defeat Ashura but seeing Alex's determination Ashura becomes the soul of Alex and ever since Alex hasn't looked back.

He joined the corps so that others can be safe and gives his best for every task. And what happened to the other two? Well you'll find out about them in the upcoming chapter.

Short story-8: Out of hunger they Dalaima family started cooking and eating those chickens. What they thought would be disgusting turned to be really tasty. The family started finding out what was in that bird that made them so tasty. They soon developed a dish made from the chicken.
