"There is no way I will ever do that." Louisa gulped, her eyes bulging as she said, "I am never getting on that beast."

"But you will."

"Why must I?" Louisa folded her arms, brusquely.

"'Must?'" Thomas quipped. "I could never compel you to do anything you don't want to. Since you are the boss's person, and I, a servant in this place, there is only so much I can do."

"Nobody ever said I had it good with him, anyway."

"You… you don't?" Thomas' orbs burned with intention. "How can you not?"

Louisa gave him a one-shoulder shrug before looking up to the sky.

"The clouds are suddenly picking up," she intelligently reported. "I wonder why that is when it already rained a lot at night."

"I will tell you why," Thomas said as he handed the reins of that horse over to the other man on the side, muttering a "Thank you, Marcel."
