"I think I am in the wrong place."

Louisa moaned a soft sigh, lumbering deeper inside the premise. She was wrong about what she'd just said and she knew it. She wasn't in a wrong place. Matter of fact she was in a familiar place — her previous room on the first floor that she'd been forced to retain again. Forced, because she did not want to be there or go back to it.

Several times that day, she'd been tasked with remembering all that Rochester had said to her. For one, she found it implausible to fathom what the man had told her about sending her away— Her; his mother!
