DEPRESSED

Rochester watched as her svelte figure departed from him after saying all that. Pondering what audacity she had to say all that to him, he started to chew his mouth. Did she think that she could guilt-trip him into feeling bad for the choices he was now making? He was beyond convinced now that she did not deserve even a pinch of his affection because how could she be so bold over what she'd said?

So what if he'd kept chasing after Giselle though she kept rejecting him? Wasn't that all the more worth it? At least Giselle was always dignified in her manner of refusing him. As such, he was willing to take that. He was also ready to keep subjecting his nose to being broken over and over by her current lover simply because he wouldn't stay away. He never wanted to be away from Giselle. He could not say the same about now. The woman his heart wanted now was not Giselle but Louisa.
