TRUE IDENTITY

The moon hung low in the sky as Haswell arrived at the inn on the outskirts of town. He could sense that this inn held secrets within its walls.

Entering, he immediately noticed the eerie silence that filled the place. The air felt heavy with an ominous scent, as if beckoning him towards darkness. The innkeeper, a wiry man with tired eyes, greeted Haswell with a suspicious nod and led him to Room 13, the largest and last room available. However, Haswell knew he hadn't come for lodging. He was there because of a warning notice he had received earlier that day.

He had expected to encounter heavily armed men inside and outside, but to his disappointment and temporary relief, there was little commotion as he made his way in.
