SEOUL GARDEN
"Han!?, I am surprised to see you in this morning" Jan said as her eyes glued to the boy standing almost 3 feet apart.
He was wearing a sweatshirt and Jean and a mask on his face, mask or not I recognize him because of his eye smile. He noticed the flowers wrapped around Jan's tiny fingers.
Han-gyeol was Jan's neighbor and he did work with her in the flower shop as a part time job, SEOUL GARDEN. for a long time, when pandemic hit Jan has to fire him and Lilly ( another employ) as she can't pay their salary. Jan feels so bad for them and and eventually they moved on, now they are doing some online jobs which they can be safe from corona virus and have an income.
"Well today is the day of opening the shop, so I was just passing by, need a ride?" he asked , his hands still in his pocket.
Those days while they work together, he take her in his bike.
"No thanks, I am good, I don't want to bother you, I have my own" said Jan rejecting his offer
and put her mask on and went to garage to pick her bike, settling her flowers on the basket of her cycle.
I don't want him to do things for me, why he is so concerned about me.
Jan can hear her mom and han drifting into a conversation.
"How are you aunty?, good?" asked Han to Jan's mom standing on the door frame.
"good, how's your online job!? her mom asked in a concerned voice.
"mmm.. it's ok, but too much time in computer, it gives me headache", he said
"mm I know Jan had that too while she was having online classes and she did online job, it's hard....,...maybe.. ..
"eomma!! , I am leaving", Jan cut her off because she knows where's this conversation leading to.
Jan wave at both of them and hit the road.

It's been 6 years her mom put up a flower shop it was her dream, she loves flowers, Jan's mother Mrs Lee Rose, graduate her Anthology,
she is pretty good in it.
People thought she is crazy to open up a flower shop after all she got high education degrees, but she proved them wrong, she now have a business of foreign flowers too, which is ironic to the shop's name, SEOUL GARDEN, even it has foreign flowers.
But her health now is serious one, she can't keep up her body, it's weak.
Jan stood on the front door and smiles to see the sign, 'sorry, we are closed' thinking that it's gonna be 'we are open' after a long time.
"Miss me? " she whispered and open the door.
"I have never seen this shop so empty and dusty at the same time "she said
she put her bag on a small room, and opened her laptop and open her online classes.
Jan is currently on college, 21 year's old, taken botany as major, like her mom. she is shy, has some hidden skills too ( you will find out that later) she is the second child of Mr and Mrs Lee. Brother Lee Jeon-hoon currently out of district for his job .she has no friends in college, she likes to be alone. But she came close to some other people like Mr and Mrs Kim they both are pharmacist, young and attractive couples and the flowers are for them
The next hour Jan spend her time cleaning the whole shop while listening to music .
well music makes the work done in little time. After cleaning she reminds herself to put marking stickers on money payment line five meters apart, yes, COVID-19🦠😷protocol
and she sticks the print out paper of instructions that should be followed by the customers almost everywhere.
when everything was done. she checks the time on the phone , 8:30 am.
the truck with fresh flowers will be arriving at 9:00 . she still have 30 min and she knows where to spare it.
she took the flower bouquet that she made in the morning and off to their pharmacy shop it's just two shops away.
Heejin unni and Ji-hoon oppa fell in love in college but their families didn't allowed them to get married as they are from different places so they eloped to SEOUL just like Mr and Mrs Lee, Jan's parents, though they are in different college but fall in love in a cafe while working together . but Jan used to wonder how her mom fell in love with her dad, her dad!!!!! , better not to tell that .
so Heejin unni and Ji-hoon oppa was new to the city, they don't have friends here, so an introvert like Jan decided to break the ice between them to know their story .
Jan still remember their first intimate friendship talk. she got bullied by her seniors four years ago , she did show off her some Taekwondo skills but still got some bruises and cuts . she went to their shop

"who did this to you!!?? " asked Heejin unni while taking out the antiseptic lotion and some tiny cotton pads and rolls in a hurry.
"just some seniors, well bullying is their hobby but I am used to it, this is small one actually because this time I defense myself hard. I think they won't bother me again ", said Jan still her hands on her bruised elbow
"because you beat them up" asked Ji-hoon oppa.
"yeah, pretty much", Jan answered with a weak smile
Even though they know each other a little bit as shop neighbor and the couple has visited Jan's flower shop a several times and Jan did noticed their taste in flowers .The pharmacy shop was closed for a break but Jan entered the shop anyway . it's was an emergency because she had to get to her flower shop and help mom in the evening but she can't let her mom know that she was bullied and bruised. but the couple didn't hesitate to aid Jan after seeing her bruise.
"I'm sorry", Jan said breaking the silence Between them as she continued
"I'm sorry I bothered you both on your break, I have my med kit in my shop but I can't let my mom see me like this and worry about me" said Jan bowing towards them.
"it's ok dear, we can understand", said Heejin unni
"come here, sit on this chair, let me take a look on that elbow first", Ji-hoon oppa said motioned Jan to a wooden chair and they both started their work
Jan grind her teeth in pain
Heejin noticed it
"you know, you reminds me of my little sister", said heejin unni trying to calm her with an ease conversation
and their conversation goes on but the Time didn't wait, they spent half an hour talking laughing and so on
"All done!! "said heejin unni happily finishing her Work perfectly.
Jan checked and cover her bandage bruises with her clothes but.. her face!?
Jan touched her wound on her left high cheek bone.
"to heal a wound you should stop touching it" heejin unni said as she draws away Jan's hand from her cheek .
"How am I suppose to hide this" Jan pouting her lips
Heejin unni stood up and left the room and came back with a , compact powder and other things
"ohh no no no, no make up, mom surely notice it because I never wear them ", Jan said
"clam down you silly, I'll make sure it's ok !"said heejin and started applying it carefully on my cheeks
"yeah, she is an expert in that, hiding everything out with makeup" , said Ji-hoon oppa commenting on his wife
Jan smiled and said, "oh!!! probably the hickey's"
The moment I said that heejin unni blushed hard turning her cheeks red as Jan's and shoved Jan shoulder
Jan and Ji-hoon laughed by heejin reaction.
"ok! all done, now go go go, your eomma wil be so angry because you are late today " said heejin unni
Jan was about to take her purse to get money but the couple rejected.
"you don't need to pay, your our only friend now, and it's ok, we haven't been open to anyone like this In months, we were both scared to move in here after all that happened, and you are welcome here anytime you want, don't bother the door sign" said Ji-hoon oppa.

That night Mrs Lee didn't noticed a thing, she left the shop early leaving Jan incharge all night, she was thinking about them. making her happy for some reason, maybe thinking that she just made friends with them .
Jan didn't hesitate another moment to make a bouquet for them, she made one, a love-in-the-mist and some Roses wrapped together . Just like they use to buy everytime in SEOUL GARDEN..
Jan checked their shop , it's closed. after she locked hers. she saw the sign "we are closed "
but she knocked on the door ,she knows they are in there because of the light inside.and left the
flowers on the ground leaving a note says
tonight, it went pretty good, thanks to you both,

Now with all happiness in her heart, memories of her past with them was so beautiful and sweet, they were there in her best and worst days. and it's been months Jan haven't seen them
Jan saw the door board sign says "we are closed", but she hide the flowers behind her and pushed the door open without thinking twice
"HEY MY LOVE BIRDS!!!!! " screamed Jan
""WHAT THE HELL!!! "" Heejin unnie screamed back
