Chapter 65: FU HUI YUN! (3):

We stepped into the car and I pressed the navigation to Zhao Company. Hui Yun was looking a bit off since the very beginning so I played the song she loved the best, Claire de Lune.

(It's best to read this with the song actually playing)

As the song began to play in the background I noticed that Hui Yun's expression seemed to relax a lot. I remember asking her why she liked this song so much and yet she replied she liked it for its contrasting sounds within the music. It was like a relationship, there will always be ups and downs.

Listening to this song I lost myself due to the peaceful music. Claire de Lune gives off a light and airy, yet mysterious, with darker, more complex chords moving underneath the basic melody vibe. It can seem sad, yet also triumphant. It can be soothing and calming but also turbulent and emotional. Claire de Lune's calming nature comes from the rubato and the sense of freedom in playing the piece encourages the listener to feel. The freedom allows each note to be heard individually with frequent diminuendos created naturally by the dimming of the sound. This allows an element of sadness and solitude to weave through every note.

It was truly a marvellous piece of work. A very calming one. Perhaps this song made Hui Yun pluck up the courage because when the song ended she finally spoke up. "Jie," she began as I turned my attention towards her. "Yes? What's up?" I asked. "How did you? Uhhh," she blurted. I laughed and explained why I would know that she was upset. "We grew up together. Oh please. Since young every single time, you had something you were troubled about you always liked to bite your nails. Look," she explained whilst Hui Yun immediately stopped biting her nails.

"I'm only trying to think about how to help my friend," she added as if I would think it was her. I nodded and continued to focus on driving but I was still listening to her. "So... my friend very stupidly had a one-nightstand with this guy. And she ended up pregnant. The man already said he would take responsibility. But right now she's still debating whether or not to tell the guy and her family. Do you reckon she should tell the guy?" she explained.

I kept silent for a while, thinking about how to put this into words. I nodded and said "I think she should. The child should also have a chance to know his/her father. Your friend can't take away the guy's chance to be a father. I mean he did say he would take responsibility so I gather that guy isn't a bad man," I suggested "I mean we can only give her suggestions at the end we've to wait for your friend to decide herself. Everyone can give her suggestions but we can do nothing about it,". Hui Yun nodded and it seemed like she was listening attentively to my words. "I'll tell my friend what you said. Hopefully, she takes your suggestion," Hui Yun muttered.

We arrived at the Zhao Company 5 minutes early and I found nice parking in the car park. Before we entered the building, Hui Yun held my hand and screamed "Jie, promise me in the future, you'll never abandon me. No matter what I do.". I looked around and noticed that there was nobody there so I nodded. "I promise you. You'll always be the little sister I love the most," I whispered. What's up with her?

Hui Yun looked at me with tears in her eyes and muttered clearly "I'm pregnant,". I looked confused for a second and shouted, "WHAT? FU HUI YUN, YOU ARE WHAT?". She looked at me as if she was going to cry and repeated her words saying "I'm pregnant,".

However unknown to them, there was someone watching the pair of sisters. There's a big black van filled with people wearing masks and gloves. Suddenly, a phone call rang. The leader of the group picked up the call and answered "Hello?" the other end person on the call seemed to be the voice of a young lady. "Have you done it yet?" she asked "No," the leader replied bluntly. "When are you going to do it?" she asked again "We will do it when we find the right timing. You are meant to trust me. I'll get the job done. But what exactly do you plan on doing after we caught her?" he explained. "Well, firstly I'm going to ask for money from her parents then I'll ruin her face and beat her for a while. And then kill her. I'm not gonna let her live even when I've got the money," she exclaimed viciously. "Alright then," the man muttered. The call ended whilst the man signed thinking ' I don't mean any offence lady. When you die, don't go and look for me. I'm only paid to do the job. You can go and find her. She's the one who wants to kill you...
