Chapter 50

Later, Jaysa was sitting on the floor with the other peasants. When she first walked in the room with her husband, she noticed there were no chairs, but small tables.

"Where is all the furniture?" Jaysa asked her husband.

"Their peasants, they are used sitting on the floor." He responded back. Jaysa glared at the man.

"So you're saying that I would also sit on the floor?" Jaysa shrugged her shoulders and smirked. "Which doesn't bother me in the least." It was Danzel turned to glare at his wife.

"You are Queen. You will do no such thing."

"Yeah, whatever." She spoke as she walked away from her husband. She noticed the girls from the cells walking in the room from the opposite side. Danzel tried to yell out her name, but she was already mixing with the other girls. The food soon followed. There was chicken, beef, bread, and several fruits and vegetables served to the young women. Sweet liquor was also served to go along with the food. The food was set on small tables that were only inches off the floor. Jaysa sat by Erica and some new girls that she had seen around the village but never spoke to.

"So what's your name?" Jaysa asked the girl that sat to her left. She had short shoulder length brown hair and dark green eyes. Her hair and body was full of dirt and oil.

"My name is Kesha." She spoke. Jaysa nodded and asked.

"Are you excited to head back to your families?" The girl nodded as she ate a piece of bread. Jaysa continued to make conversation with the women. She found that many had families with brothers and sisters waiting for them at home. Jaysa also learned that some were in deep relationships with another. So letting these girls go back to their homes really warmed her heart.

"What do you think you're doing sitting on the floor?" Danzel's voice echoed the room. Jaysa rolled her eyes. Without turning to look at Danzel she spoke.

"I'm a peasant." She said sarcastically. "I'm supposed to sit on the floor." Danzel growled at his wife. She was acting up again.

"You should listen to what he says." A girl spoke.

"Nah," she responded. "He's fine. He's giving me a hard time. He likes to joke around a lot." She giggled.

"Oh really," the girl from before spoke. The girls giggled a bit. Danzel stood behind his wife. He could hear her laughing and it wasn't her sarcastic laugh, but a true laugh. He liked that. Even though she was being stubborn like usual, he would allow this to pass. Laughter could be heard outside the ballroom as the women were having a wonderful time. Jaysa hadn't laughed this much since she had gotten to this place, but she was excited to give these women some good memories before leaving this place.

After the women finished their meals, the maids cleaned up the area. Danzel kept his promise. He allowed Jaysa to take the young girls back to their homes. They were getting the carriage ready, which were quite a few. Danzel turned to one of the guards and spoke.

"I want you to make sure that these girls are taken home safely. Joseph will go with you as well to make sure that everything goes well." The guard nodded. Jaysa stepped inside the carriage and said her goodbyes to her husband who spoke back. "You will come back." The comment he said was no question. It was in order. Jaysa smiled as the door of the wagon was close by a guard. The sounds of men giving the horses a command to go were heard from several gentlemen. The horses began their trot to the village.

"Are you excited my dear?" Joseph asked the young girl. Jaysa smiled at Joseph.

"I'm really happy that Danzel's allowing me to take these girls home."

"He is not as bad as you think." Joseph responded.

"Yeah, you may be right," she spoke. She looked down at the floor. There were those times that he was gentle to her. Even when he was touching her, her body felt like it was on fire. Was it a sign that she liked him? She had her arms wrapped around her body.

"My dear, are you okay." Jaysa looked up at Joseph.

"Of course I am." There was no way she could ask a man about this. Joseph was nice, but he would not understand. She glanced out the window as they passed the Nobles town and towards her village.

The wagon stopped and the doors were opened so Jaysa could step out. It felt so long since she was last here. Jaysa was met with a tall man that was one of the guards watching over the peasant jobs.

"What do you want?" He spoke rudely.

"What did you say? Do you not realize that I am the Queen of this territory?" She spoke back.

"That doesn't mean shit." He spoke. "I want to speak to a man." Jaysa gritted her teeth. She heard almost an exact same response before. These men were real dicks. She was the Queen yet no one treated her as such.

"Listen here." She started. "I'm Queen, and you will listen –"

"Shut up." The guard interrupted her. "I don't give a damn what you have to say. You are just needed to go ride the King's cock and pop out his children. So why don't you head back and do just that."

"Why you –" Jaysa started to swing her right fist at him, but was stopped by Joseph.

"My dear, you are royalty. Please act as such."

"But he –" Jaysa stopped in her tracks as Joseph glared at her as if silently telling her not to continue. Jaysa let her arms go limp and turned her head away from the two men. The man bowed when he saw Joseph. "

"My young sir, we are here on the King's behalf. We have brought the women that were taken to the castle. We wish to send them back to their homes."

"So what would you like me to do?" The man respectively asked.

"Please ask for the villagers to gather here so they can get their children back." The guard nodded.

"Hey Brandon." He yelled out. Another guard came jogging over. He whispered something in his ear. The man nodded and rushed away. The guard looked at Jaysa and Joseph, but kept his eyes on Joseph as he spoke. "My guard will get all the villagers so it would be a few moments. I will also help." The man spoke before heading towards the fields.

"What a dick." Jaysa muttered under her breath Joseph turned to face her.

"I understand that you are angry with how that man is treating you. However, if I allow you to hit that man, then I would not be able to save you from the consequences."

"So in other words," Jaysa spoke waiting for Joseph to answer.

"I saved you from your death." Joseph sighed. "Danzel would not be pleased if I brought you back as a criminal." Jaysa didn't even think about that. So it really did not matter if she was Queen or not. She was still a woman. Jaysa had to find out how to fix that.
