The chamber was large, one wall given over to arched openings onto a balcony, filmy curtains billowing in the breeze. The day was growing old, and the sky beyond the doorways was a mystical deep blue edging into night darkness.
The floor and walls of the chamber were made of the white, marbled stone that seemed to be the primary building material used in the construction of the city, smoothed and polished to a shine, but I thought Rivyn had some influence in the furnishings, as the seating gathered around a generous hearth were large, heavy and cushioned in vivid colours, rather than the delicate, pale furnishings his mother preferred. There was a lush rug upon the floor in deep blues and golds.
