I gasped and jerked out of sleep. I looked around and rubbed my eyes. I sat up straight on the bed and tried to remember how I got here.

“Okay, let’s get you somewhere to rest.” Clyde dropped his wine glass on the table and stood up. I did so too and followed him as he walked out of the room.
He stopped walking in the middle of a corridor and stared into the air. I instantly realized that he was having a telepathic discussion with someone.
He faced me and nodded, “there’s a room prepared for you already.” He continued walking and I followed, taking quick glanced every now and then..
The place had really changed since I left.
“But first, there’s a conclave party going on,” Clyde said with a wide grin and I shook my head.
“Okay, let’s go.” I nodded and he grinned even wider. We walked towards the door and Clyde reached into his pocket, taking out his car keys.
