Chapter-9<*Escape*>

The group was proceeding cautiously through the bloody corridors of Fujimi Academy. Airi and Saya were terrified because from time to time they heard the cries for help from the students of the school.

"What do you know about those things?" Saeko asked as she looked at the young blond.

"Not much more than you, only those things are blind" - Cloud replied simply.

"How are you sure?" Takashi asked as he tried

calm down his girlfriend..

"Because I checked...isn't that right, Kyoko sensei?" The blonde asked as he looked at the brown-haired teacher.

"As much as I don't like it, if she checked it…" Kyoko muttered as she shook her head. As they walked towards the staff room, Cloud carefully walked up against one of those things and Cloud didn't even feel it, at least not until he cut it in half.

"It's good to hear that... so we just need to move carefully and we'll be safe sooner than we think" Saya smiled as she adjusted her glasses - "By the way, I recommend that we go down the stairs of the third year section And let's go out through the basketball court because based on the cries for help I can tell that the main exit has to be full of that stuff."

"Sounds like a plan"-rei agreed as she forcefully took the steel rod that she had in her hands.

"Remember, don't make any noise"-Cloud said seriously as he looked at his companions.

"Hai..." - the others said quietly as they nodded, only to walk carefully again.

The group continued to advance at a slow pace while making sure there weren't too many zombies in the vicinity. Even though those things were blind, that didn't mean they were any less dangerous. The zombies could detect sounds at a short distance, so they had to move carefully to prevent accidents.

"Saya didn't introduce us... I'm Cloud Strife from class 2-A"-said the young blonde as he looked at the fat student.

"M-Nice to meet you, my name is Hirano Kohta" - said the young man with glasses with a slight fear.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything to you" - Cloud nodded as he gave the boy a look - "But by the way you take that improvised weapon, I can see that you are no stranger to firearms"

"Do you know about weapons?!" Kohta exclaimed, only to cover his mouth in pity. He had screamed with excitement and now he was cursing himself because because of him they could have fallen if they were near a large horde of those things-"I'm sorry..."

"Don't worry, I suppose it's exciting to know that there is someone who knows what you like" - agreed the blonde - "But be more careful next time"

"Ok…" Kohta muttered as he shook his head in disapproval. He had screwed up and couldn't say anything if something like that got him kicked out of the group.

"Don't worry, we won't kick you out, I just ask you not to repeat this situation" - Cloud said with a smile. He knew the talent that the boy in front of him had, so it was impossible for him to leave him aside just because of a small mistake.

"How much more time will we need to get to the parking lots?" Miku asked seriously as he looked around.

"We're on the stairs that connect to the first floor... normally it would take us 5 minutes but at the speed we're going, I'd say 10-15 minutes" - Saya answered as she adjusted her glasses - "It all depends on how many zombies are in the place, if there are not many because they moved to the place where there was more noise, we can arrive in less than 5 minutes"

"I don't think things are that easy"-muttered Cloud as he shook his head. He knew very well about the "luck" that the protagonists had, so it was obvious that everything would go to shit for some kind of stupid reason.

"We better keep going"-Rei muttered as she leaned out to look towards the corridor-"There are no Moors on the coast"

"Still, we better be careful" - Saeko said seriously. While she wanted to continue killing zombies, it wasn't like she was endangering the group for the sole chance of fulfilling her wishes.

"Saeko-san... you will bring up the rear while I will go forward" - Cloud said seriously.

"By the way... where did you get that thing from?" Miku asked.

curiously seeing the blonde's sword.

"I also wanted to ask you that, it is not legal for you to have a weapon of that type, much less to be inside the school" - Kyoko said seriously.

"I don't think this is the best time to talk about it" Saya sighed as she shook her head, although she had to admit that she was curious too.

"Let's say I was able to get her into school thanks to some contacts" -Cloud said while he gave them a mysterious smile- "As an extra fact, I had it stored in the Kendo Dojo"

"I can check that" Saeko agreed as she went to her stand.

"What do I do?" Kohta asked as Takashi nodded.

"You will support from the center of the formation and Takashi will protect the left flank" - answered the blonde - "Rei will take the right flank"

"I have no problem with it" - agreed the brown-haired girl - "It's better that we continue because I have a plan I have a feeling"

"Believe me... me too"-murmured Cloud while he denied

with the head - "Come on" The group again advanced through the corridors of the school, only to notice that as Saya had supposed, there was no

presence of some of the zombies but despite everything, they

they continued to advance in formation.

"Weird...somehow I find calm much more terrifying..."-Miku said as he looked around with fear.

"It's because this silence is unnatural"- Airi replied as she trembled with fear-"It's as if the silence could devour us at any moment..."

"I couldn't have explained it better"-Kyoko added as she looked outside-"The parking lots are right here but somehow I feel like something bad is going to happen"

"Let's go"-Cloud said as he took a step out of the main building of the School, only to see that everything was normal-"Do you know where the buses are, Shizuka chan?"

"Hmm-?" -Shizuka pressed her finger to her cheek as she calmly thought- "If I remember correctly, the buses have to be in section C of the parking lot... at least that's the way it would be if they haven't been." moved before"

"I didn't hear any of the other teachers say anything about moving the buses, so it's quite likely they're still there"-added Kyoko as she looked in the direction where the buses should be.

"Let's go on... but stay tuned in case something happens" - Cloud just looked around analytically because he knew that in a few seconds, they would step on an alarm and a large number of zombies would run in his direction, after all, that was life of a protagonist.

Slowly the boys continued their journey through the parking lots until they saw two large vehicles in the distance.

"We're finally here..." Airi muttered as she heaved a sigh of relief.

"I think it was too easy…" Saeko said, only to hear a scream from her come from behind her, "I had to open my mouth…"

"Shit, those idiots have a horde after them!" Takashi exclaimed in fear as he saw a group of survivors running towards him.

"I knew it wouldn't be that easy," Cloud muttered as he shook his head, "Let's run to the buses!"

"You don't have to say it twice!" - Saya shouted while

she was holding Airi's hand.

"What do we do with them?" Kyoko asked with conflicting emotions. As a teacher, she wanted to save her students but she couldn't endanger others because of her 'selfish' wishes!

"Don't worry, Kyoko sensei... we'll give you a hand"-smiled Cloud as he looked at the boys-"I want you to run towards the buses, our priority is to stay safe and then help others..."

Honestly, he didn't want to save those people but something told him that something good would come of it if he did.

"Thank you…" Kyoko murmured as she gave the boy a smile.

"You can thank me when we're safe"-answered Cloud as he ran to the bus with the rest of the group.

"Shit!" - shouted a man of about 25 years wearing a black business suit. His slender body and his cold gaze showed that he was not the athletic type but despite everything, he was running at a high speed—"Are you sure he's dressed properly?!"

"H-Hai! I saw how Shizuka sensei and Kyoko sensei were running with a group of students towards the parking lots!" exclaimed a student with fear while he breathed heavily.

The reason?

They were escaping from a horde of zombies.

The group of only 1 Professor and 5 students, all men, were running at full speed. They had sacrificed 3 female and 10 male students in order to escape from the hell known as Fujimi Academy.

"That only means one thing... they have the keys to a vehicle and from the number of people it's obvious that it's not a little boy... it's probably one of the school buses" - Shido murmured as he continued running, alone to smile when he saw how the group he was looking for was in front of them - "Good! We just need to keep running and we'll be safe!"

"Shido sensei! I don't think I can take it anymore!" - exclaimed a student who was clearly exhausted, not only physically but emotionally. The reason was simple, he had had to sacrifice his girlfriend in order to survive but that ate him up inside. They had been together for two years and he now regretted doing it.

"If you can't anymore... then just be useful to the group, like your girlfriend was"-Shido said as he kicked him in the leg.

"Argh!" the boy could only scream in pain when he felt

as he lost all strength- "Shido sensei?!"

"Thank you, your sacrifice will not be in vain" - the professor smiled as he continued running.

"I... I was an idiot..." the boy muttered as a sad smile appeared on his face..
