Chapter 259 ( Dragons Rioting - VI )

"I think we'd better end this conversation because I have a lot of things to do, among them fighting that blond guy" - said Rino with disdain - "Now, do what you have to do and let's get this over with".

"I'm going to enjoy tearing your body apart, Rino" - Isami said neutrally as a cold smile appeared on her stoic face - "But relax, I promise your life won't be in any danger."

Rino frowned when she heard this, but quickly calmed down because she knew that if she let her emotions cloud her judgment.

Isami's eyes lost their sparkle as a large amount of shadows began to surround the two girls.

"!" - Rino's eyes widened in surprise as she could feel her senses become distorted, which wasn't surprising if they knew what the woman's techniques were all about.

"Come on... I don't think you only have that power..." - Isami said neutrally as her cold, emotionless eyes watched the second year dragoness closely - "If so, then I'm very disappointed."

Rino frowned when she heard because it was a hard blow on her pride and she was already about to lose control of her emotions.

"Come on, Rino" - Isami said calmly - "Show me that dragon pride."

Rino's pupils ripped for a few seconds before calming down because it was obvious that his opponent wanted to get inside his head, something he couldn't afford because his method of combat was to maintain absolute control - "Ok, I admit it, you're someone interesting... but enough was enough"

The air around Rino changed to a calmer one as the wind blew calmly.

". . ." - Isami frowned as she saw that toying with the girl's pride hadn't worked, but as an assassin she still had plenty of opportunities to be able to finish the job, and now she just needed the precise moment to do it - "Ok, I guess it'll be the old fashioned way."

Isami slowly sank to the ground disappearing from the place, something that was somewhat surprising to those present, at least all but the invited Martial Artists.

"That girl... she comes from the Asahinata clan? Right?" - The woman asked while squinting her eyes because she hadn't had very good experiences with the Assassin clan members.

"Yes... at least that's what it seems from their technique..." - replied a man - "But... if she were from that clan, then the current leader would be strutting about having such a talent... but we haven't heard anything."

"In fact, it would seem as if they were trying to withhold as much information as possible because we haven't heard any news from that clan" - added his companion as he frowned - "Hmm.... I guess there's something strange involved in all this, not to mention that it's impossible for that unruly clan to hand over a seed with such a good future to a stranger..."

"Maybe they're trying to win the boy over with women?" - Asked the woman in the group while frowning - "I mean, it's not the first time it's happened."

"Hmm... it's a possibility, more seeing that that green-haired girl is also a member of the Asahinata clan" - muttered the first man while watching Rena collide again against Kyōka - "Seeing two members of that Assassin clan next to that boy, makes me think a lot of things, and let's just say they're not very good."

"I think the same, although it's better that we don't come to conclusions so soon because it's possible that things are not as simple as we think" - nodded the second man as the three of them concentrated again on the fights, only that, unlike before, they watched each one a different fight.

"Is that red-haired girl interesting?" - The woman asked as she saw how her friend was watching Ayane fight with all her might against Asuna.

"Yes, she's talented, but that's not why I was watching her" - said the man as he shook his head - "It's just that I'm surprised to see how the little girl I helped escape from the Asahinata clan, managed to grow up so much"

"She was also a member of the Asahinata clan?" - Asked the woman in surprise - "Strange... normally they would have tried to kill the deserter."

"They tried... but let's just say I got in the way" - said the man with a calm smile.

"Oh? That's new... I never thought the bloody hermit would have such a sensitive heart" - the woman said sarcastically, after all, everyone in the martial arts world knew about how sadistic and savage the man she was talking about was.

"I have my moments where I can sympathize with others... not to mention that she was just a child" - said the man with a frown because the woman was making him sound like he was some kind of heartless monster.

"It has nothing to do with the fact that she looks like your deceased daughter?" - asked the woman as a small smile appeared on her face as she watched the man go completely silent - "Ok, I think I spoke too much... I apologize for my words"

"No... you didn't say anything wrong..." - replied the man as he let out a sigh - "At first that was the reason why I helped her... but after a while I realized how special the girl was... so I stayed a few months teaching her real martial art, not that crap they used in Asahinata... so you could say I'm a half sensei for her."

"Ok, that's much more surprising to hear" - the woman said with surprise - "Because after you made it clear that you wouldn't take any more disciples, which I find logical because of what happened years ago, I didn't think you would teach anyone else."

"I couldn't leave that tadpole alone and with no way to defend himself..." - said the man as he closed his eyes, only to mutter something that was blocked by the wind produced by the fighting - "Not again.... I don't want to repeat the same mistake twice..."

". . ." - the woman was silent for a few seconds before nodding. She knew her friend's full story, after all, she and the man were practically siblings with all the years they knew each other - "I see..."

"We'd better save the small talk for another time... it's time for us to watch this fight" - the man said as he opened his eyes and focused on Ayane, only for a small smile to appear on his face as he saw how the girl had put into use all the words he had said - "I knew you had the talent to pull it off..."

"Ora Ora!" - Kyōka exclaimed excitedly threw punches at high speed - "This is fun!"

"I think so too!" - Rena exclaimed as she blocked the girl's punches as well as counterattacked with all her might.

The two girls were creating shockwaves with every impact they gave with their fists.

"Ha ha ha ha!" - Kyōka and Rena couldn't hide the euphoria they felt as they hit their opponent who far from falling behind, was getting tighter and tighter in their situation.

*Crack Crack Crack*

"Ugh..." - Kyōka felt her fist start to crack, though from her opponent's pained expression, it was obvious that she was in a similar situation - "Ok, this I didn't expect.... But don't even think I'm going to back down over something as simple as this!"

"You stole the words right out of my mouth!" - Rena exclaimed as the two girls again impacted against each other, and in the process, listen as their fists seemed to be getting closer and closer to the breaking point.

"Ok, maybe a brute force fight wasn't our best idea" - said Rena as she groaned in pain as she felt how her fist was about to give way - "But at the same time I don't regret continuing to fight."

"I think the same, although I'm still far from finishing... and I hope you think the same" - answered Kyōka with a wild smile while hitting with her left fist because it was the only one that was still fit to continue to be used, after all, she mostly used her right fist.

Rena tried to grab the blue-haired girl while resisting the pain of her right hand, only to groan in pain as she felt Kyōka squeezing her hand with her right hand.

"Bad move, girl" - Kyōka said neutrally - "I already got used to this pain..."

"Let me tell you something..." - Rena said as a wild grin appeared on her face - "Me too."

"Ugh..." - Kyōka felt Rena hit her liver with an accurate punch that left her breathless.
