Chapter 518 ( Discovery - III )

2 hours later, the meeting had ended, and by now Netero was waiting for the response from the members of the [Zodiac] - "Well?"

"We need more information in order to come to a conclusion, so for now, we'll refrain from giving a decision" - Pariston answered while watching as his companions nodded.

"Are you guys serious!" - Netero exclaimed in surprise as he looked at his subordinates because he did not expect this answer.

"I'm sorry, but we need more information in order to deliver an answer that fits the situation, we can't just say we will do something that possibly isn't the real situation" - replied Pariston as he shook his head - "We need a confirmation, that's why Pyon decided to go check the place."

"Do they really think that's a good idea?" - Netero asked as he looked carefully at each of the [Zodiac] members.

"I'm sorry, but this is the group's decision" - said Ging as he folded his arms - "We can't move so easily on a simple hunch, and I'm sure the others feel the same way."

"In fact, I think we should do something as a preventive measure, but at the same time I need, we need to think things through" - replied Cheadle while frowning.

". . ." - Netero was silent as he felt how things were too strange.

Normally, the members of the [Zodiac] would act quickly in order to solve the problem, but this time, it was being quite the opposite, and no matter how he looked at it, it was obvious that something was going on.

Quickly, he retreated with a serious expression on his face, not noticing how the members of the [Zodiac], looked at each other.

"Was this a good idea?" - Cheadle asked as she frowned.

"It's the most reasonable thing we can do now, but I think maybe we should be more preemptive" - said Pariston as he frowned.

"I think our moves are the most correct for this kind of situation, although there is a small chance that this could end badly because we didn't do something sooner" - said Saiyuu while frowning because it was still a somewhat complicated decision anyway - "Maybe we should think things through a bit better?"

"No, I think we made the right decision" - said Ging as he was silent for a few seconds - "But if it makes you guys feel better, I can send my student."

"You mean Kite? That wouldn't be a bad idea" - said cluck as she cocked her head - "He's experienced, and he knows what he's doing."

"Well, I'll inform him right away, give me a moment" - said Ging as he took out his phone and called his disciple, only to hear how he wasn't alone, but was with someone he recognized right away with her voice, after all, it was similar to his when he was the same age - ". . ."

"Ging-san?" - Cheadle said with a frown as she watched her companion fall silent.

"Give me a moment" - Ging said as he disconnected the call.

5 minutes later, he returned and informed them that Kite had agreed to go in a few days after he sorted out a little situation he had.

"The more things happen, the stranger it all gets" - Netero said with a frown as he looked down at his hands, though to his terror, he noticed how slowly his thoughts slowly put aside the discussion he had had with the other members of the [Zodiac], as if it wasn't necessary to keep thinking about the problem they had in front of them - "This is starting to get ridiculous, it's like the world is doing everything it can to try to make us put this issue aside u n aside!"

Netero was beginning to lose patience with the situation, so he quickly called his secretary to tell him that he was going out for a few days and wouldn't be back for quite a while.

The secretary was taken aback for a few seconds before nodding, after all, this wasn't the first time his leader had done something like this, and it wouldn't be the last either.

He didn't even ask him where he would go because it wasn't his business, so he watched as the president of the association, left silently.

As he left, the secretary paused for a few seconds before opening his eyes in surprise because it was at that moment that he understood how he and the others were being too careless.

He quickly went to where the [Zodiac] members were gathered, only to see how they had all withdrawn, leaving only Cheadle who was still pensive.

"Miss Cheadle," said the secretary gravely.

"Hey, is something wrong?" - Cheadle said as she looked up, which was still confused because now that things were over for the moment, she didn't know what exactly was going on.

"Why did they decide to do nothing in this situation?" - Asked the secretary as he tried to calm the bad feeling that was growing inside him.

"Because there was no reason, no proof, that things were as bad as they say" - replied Cheadle with a frown - "Which is strange because we have acted for much stranger things than this."

The secretary was silent for a few seconds before quietly retreating.

Cheadle saw this, but said nothing to stop him because she was still deep in thought, not to mention that she had to think of some possible countermeasures to get Piyon to do his assigned job.

The secretary quickly ran to the section where they kept all the important documents, and began to review everything they had received about the incident in Yorbian, only to be surprised to notice how some of the information had been removed, or some documents had been replaced, and this was noticeable by how new some of the papers were.

With this information, he quickly went to the people responsible for monitoring the cameras, in order to get to the bottom of it, but to his surprise, they did not know what he was talking about either, and when they tried to check the cameras, they discovered that they had been disabled for a few seconds due to a power loss.

The secretary understood at that moment, that Netero was right and the situation was much more serious than he thought, after all, something was making them not to act normally, ignoring everything that was happening after an incident that was growing with each passing day.

Two days later, Cloud was reading the report he had received, only to frown as he read the contents which were not promising at all.

He quickly tossed the papers to the side of his room as he frowned, after all, not only had he not received the information he had requested, but he had also been reprimanded for failing to protect his comrades.

Cloud knew who the complaint had come from, but he honestly didn't care how that girl felt, not when she had the fucking will of this dimension as her enemy.

He also knew that things were going to get more and more complicated, and now that his movements were starting to be restricted, he decided it was time to leave the association and start doing things his way.

What he didn't expect, though, was that after he had decided this, that someone would knock on the door of his room.

He quickly went to the door and opened it, though this he did calmly because he knew who the people outside were.

"I see your situation is not as good as we thought" - Menchi said as she folded her arms.

"We can talk about this when the others arrive" - Cloud replied with a frown because he wasn't in the mood to put up with the girl's sarcastic comments.

Menchi understood this, so she quickly nodded as she waited for the others to arrive along with a person who surprised Cloud.

"I didn't think you were coming with them, Netero" - Cloud said while squinting - "Are you the one who's going to 'arrest' me?"

"No, in fact, you don't have to worry anymore, I already solved your situation, and I have to admit that it's stupid all this" - said Netero with a frown, after all, the trade of [Hunter], was one full of dangers. There were hundreds of deaths every passing day, and that of his subordinates were just a drop in the middle of the ocean.

"At least you still have common sense" - Cloud said as he shook his head, only to walk to his two companions and hug them - "It's good to see that you guys are okay."

"Were you worried about us?" - Kyoko asked with a small smile.

"Of course, although if I'm honest, I knew everything would be fine, you guys aren't weak" - Cloud answered as he let go of the two women.

Menchi watched this with jealousy, but said nothing because she was just a traveling companion for the group.

"Come on, don't be grumpy" - Cloud said as he hugged the light blue-haired girl, only to notice how she froze - "Better?"

"Yes" - nodded Menchi as she regained her composure.

"Anyway, it's not that I don't like to see young people meeting after not seeing each other for quite a while, but I need you to tell me what's going on here" - said Netero seriously.
