"Ugh..." - Cloud let out a sharp groan of pain as he felt how his head felt like it was about to explode - "Where am I?"
"Cloud ~! It's time for you to get up ~!" - A female voice exclaimed.
Cloud frowned before shaking his head as words unconsciously came out of his mouth - "I'm coming mom!"
The blond quickly stood up and walked towards the kitchen, the place where he saw a normal looking woman, at least compared to his own. She had curly black hair, a slightly below average height and was wearing clothes one could find in any store.
Tears began to appear in Cloud's eyes at the sight of this woman.
"What's wrong, son?" - asked the woman as she looked with surprise at her baby's attitude - "Did you get hit on the way down?"
"No... I'm fine" - Cloud answered with a smile - "It just feels like it's been ages since I last saw you..."
"You're exaggerating" - said the woman while shaking her head - "Anyway, have breakfast you have to go to school."
"Ok" - nodded Cloud as he felt that something weird was going on.
"Cloud-san!" - A female voice exclaimed.
"I see Shea-chan came looking for you again" - said the black-haired woman as she watched the door open, revealing a pretty silver-haired, blue-eyed girl - "Hello, Shea-chan"
"Hello, Mrs. Strife" - Shea said with a smile.
Cloud grabbed his head when he heard this name because it didn't make sense, his last name wasn't Strife, he was....
*Bzz Bzz Bzz*
Everything around him began to distort as he thought about this, as if he was inside a corrupted simulation.
"Are you okay, Cloud?" - Shea asked as she looked at the blond.
"Yeah..." - Cloud replied as he shook his head.
"That's good to hear, the others are waiting outside" - Shea said as she put her hands on her hips - "Seriously, I don't understand how every day you refuse to wake up in the mornings."
"It's something your father used to do when he was young" - replied Mrs. Strife as she shook her head.
"Father?" - Cloud muttered as he grabbed his head to ease the pain - "Impossible, that person..."
Cloud gritted his teeth as he watched the scenes from the past, how his abusive father hurt his mother, how his stepfather abandoned them and left them with a debt that killed his mother....
"Right..." - Cloud muttered as his eyes turned cold.
"Cloud?" - Mrs. Strife said before letting out a cry of surprise as she saw how her son seemed to have gone mad - "Son!"
"Silence!" - Cloud roared as he concentrated his mana in his hands, summoning if trusty spear - "You don't have the right to speak to me with that face!"
Mrs. Strife fell silent as tears streamed down her cheeks.
A deep pain invaded the blond boy's insides, although he quickly ignored it because he knew that she was not the woman he was looking for, the person for whom he had started his journey on this odyssey that had caused him to recover from a few traumas, after all, if it hadn't been for the influence of the girls, or all the time he had lived, he wouldn't have accepted to be Myu's adoptive father, after all, he at first hated the word "father".
"Cloud, stop acting so weird!" - Shea exclaimed, though her expression changed when she saw how the blond was looking at her neutrally - ". . ."
"Get me out of this illusion!" - Cloud roared as he felt everything around him start to glow with an enormous intensity.

Cloud again opened his eyes, and noticed how he was in a cave similar to the one at the beginning of the maze. He quickly looked around, and noticed how the others were locked in some sort of coffins made of amber.
The young blond walked towards the nearest amber prison, and saw how inside was Remia, who had a calm expression.
"Do I have to release them?" - Cloud wondered, though he quickly shook his head - "No, this is possibly the last test, or at least the penultimate one."
Cloud slowly walked towards the center and began to build a small camp to wait for the others to wake up, what he didn't know was that they had just reached the halfway point of the test this maze had to offer.

"Where am I?" - Shea muttered as she looked around and noticed that she was once again in the sea of trees.
"What are you doing, Shea?" - A female voice asked.
"Mom?" - Shea said as she turned around and saw Mona looking at her in surprise.
"Of course it's me" - snorted Mona as she put her hands on her hips - "Who else could it be?"
"I'm sorry, it's just..." - Shea said as she grabbed her head - "What was I doing?"
"I think you hit your head, daughter" - sighed Mona as she shook her head - "Seriously, I don't understand how your husband puts up with you."
"Husband?" - Shea repeated as she frowned.
"Did you forget about Cloud-san, by any chance?" - Mona asked while frowning - "Seriously, you're cruel to your husband, he's been supporting you since he rescued you from those human savages."
"Cloud-san!" - Shea exclaimed as her eyes sparkled slightly, though at the same time she felt there was something off - "What about the others?"
"Others? What are you talking about?" - Mona asked as she looked at her daughter.
"Yue-san, Tio, Kaori" - Shea answered as she said the names of her friends.
"I don't know who you're talking about, Cloud traveled alone until he found you in trouble and decided to stay with you" - Mona answered while shaking her head.
"Impossible, Cloud would never abandon the others!" - Shea exclaimed as she frowned. She quickly ran home and saw how her father and the other members of the Haulia tribe were plowing away with smiles on their faces, though what surprised her, was none of them seemed to have suffered Cloud's sadistic training.
"Shea, what are you doing alone?" - Kam asked as he looked at his daughter - "Where's your mother?"
Shea looked at her father and noticed that it was he also had the weak appearance from when he hadn't yet gone through Cloud's training, so she quickly connected the dots - "I see..."
"What's wrong?" - Cloud asked, who far from wearing his typical adventurer's outfit, was wearing brown shorts and a bearskin coat over his shoulders, showing off his firm musculature full of tribal markings, a proof that he had been accepted by the Haulia and Verbergen tribe.
"This is all wrong!" - Shea exclaimed as he clenched his fists - "This is an illusion, and a very bad one!"
"Shea..." - Cloud said as he tried to approach, only to be met by a slap in the face - "I don't know who you are, but you made a mistake wearing that look!"
Cloud was silent before letting out a sigh.
Shea prepared for combat, when she saw everything around her begin to fill with a strong blinding light.

"Ugh..." - Shea let out a groan of pain after falling to the ground with her face.
"I see you woke up" - said a voice she recognized immediately.
"Cloud-san!" - Shea exclaimed as she stood up, seeing the Cloud she remembered, with his typical tight clothes marking his muscles and his slightly cold tone.
"Honestly, I thought Yue would be the first to wake up" - Cloud said as he shook his head.
"I knew it, it was all an illusion" - muttered Shea as he shook his head.
"Yes, one that was created through our greatest desires, possibly hidden deep in our subconscious" - replied Cloud as he shook his head.
"That's strange, because that was not what I wished for" - said Shea while explaining his dream.
"I think that you unconsciously wish to monopolize me, which is not strange because it is natural" - Cloud answered while highlighting the obvious - "You are happy with your current life, of that there is no doubt, but unconsciously you wish that I look only at you, that's why this illusion turned into that hidden desire."
"I see" - muttered Shea while nodding - "That would explain a few things..."
Cloud smiled slightly before watching as Shea moved dangerously close to him.
"Even though it's just the two of us now, I think it's a good time to fulfill this wish ~" - Shea said as she gave him a passionate look.
Cloud raised an eyebrow, though an expression of amusement appeared on his face as he watched the rabbit girl let out a groan of irritation when they heard one of the amber coffins break.
"Oh, come on!" - Shea exclaimed in annoyance as she watched Yue get up weakly - "Yue-san?"
Yue looked at Cloud with a slight blush on her cheeks.
The blonde boy raised an eyebrow as he watched Shea run to the vampire girl and ask her about what she had dreamt, embarrassing the poor vampire girl even more.
