"Do we really need the cage?" I scowl, looking at the reinforced bars. "I thought he was still sedated."

"He is, but this is a precaution," Andy gives me a warm smile, adjusting the tubes on my brother. "In case he wakes up."

"Is he any better?" I glance at my brother's unconscious body, unsure of his condition.

"He is," Andy grins proudly. "Slowly, but he is getting better."

"Have you figured out what's preventing him from healing?" Ivan walks closer to the cell door.

"No, I've run tests, but I haven't got anything yet," Andy holds the folder out for us. "It's all in there."

"Andy, did you run a DNA test on him?" It feels wrong to ask this question, but we need to look outside the box if the answer isn't ordinary.

"Are you asking if he's your brother or a hybrid?" Andy raises an eyebrow, lightening the mood. "Because the answer is yes to both."
