Chaotic order

Nefretiri

Chaos was the name of my life, and it lived up to the name.

Everything felt fragile and teetering on the brink of collapsing. In only a day, things had gone from tense and conspicuous to disastrous and undetermined. It felt planned, but not by a single person or being, as if different people made different plans and forgot to coordinate with everyone else. Everything was happening at once, and it was crucial to resolve, or the end would come.

I don't know what to do, and neither does anyone else.

"Okay, Nefra. We're going to move you downstairs," Peter warned, moving everything from the side of the bed. "Everything's set up downstairs."

"It's okay, sweetie," Sierra didn't let go of my hand as a hospital bed was rolled into the room. "I'm right beside you."

"Where'd... you get that?" I gasped, the contraction I was currently enduring making me feel like I was being pulled apart. "That... wasn't... here before."
