A man or a wolf?

Ivan

"I was wondering when I'd see you," I sneered, kicking upwards and getting Jushion in the stomach. "If you didn't notice, I'm busy with therapy!"

I knew Jushion was having an easier time than me.

The Sins needed him to win, so I would lose, but I'd expected to see more of him. Why had they kept us apart? Was it because they were afraid we'd kill each other too soon? Or was there something else at play? I didn't know, but I now didn't care.

Something I'd just experienced left a sour taste in my mouth.

My name was Richard, and Nefra's name was Diana. Was I supposed to think it was a coincidence this asshole used the name Richard now? Or that he insisted on calling Nefra Diana no matter what anyone said? No, there was more to this than I'd had a chance to see, which wouldn't fly. He had something to do with that life. I could feel it.

The kick had thrown him off me, but it didn't keep him down for long.
