"Please, I have to go home." That's what I told the man in front of me. I begged him to let me go, but in my heart, I pray he never will.

How had he gotten it, and why did I sense it didn't want to be there? The animal was struggling against the Shurakai's control, reaching out to me with a desperation I've only seen in rogues. That made no sense. Being a werewolf means the wolf is part of your soul. Even those who are bitten and changed wouldn't have this reaction. They wouldn't have a wolf at all, so this was abnormal.

"Where did you steal that wolf from?" I accuse, getting up and taking a defensive stance. It was the only thing that I could think of. "How did You get it to fuse with you?"
