He Left Me In Edward's Hand

Julian had left me in the trusted hands of his brother. I was now under 24/7 surveillance by Edward, much to his dismay. Not only did he have to begin training with me all over again, he also had to look after-baby sit- me till Julian returned. He was not alone though as Shane had also taken up duty outside my room. From the little information Edward had slipped to me, Shane was the very first member to take oath on Julian's hand and hence he was one of the most trusted members of the gang. For now, Edward sat at the couch. Grumbling to himself while watching a K-drama I had started today. As soon as the episode finished, he was on his feet. Stretching his arms above his head and releasing a relaxed sigh as his shoulder popped. I stared at him-horrified- but when he rotated his shoulder again, I knew that he hadn't dislocated it."Let's go train." he said.I groaned in annoyance as Edward suggested the dreaded activity. Ever since Julian had left a few days ago, and Edward began baby sitting me, the lessons continued for more than 3 hours. All the while, he would sit and observe or bark out random orders at random moments, sometimes even making me loose my balance.

Every time we practiced a new position, he looked about ready to strangle me. But had to calm down, realizing that putting his hands on me or even touching me at all, for that matter could really end badly for him.Since he knew this and luckily abided by Julian's demand, but he brought along a stick. Using it to correct my posture every time I stood wrong, by tapping the part on my body, which I had positioned wrong. If my legs were too close, he'd tap my inner thigh as an order to put some distance between them and if they were too wide spread, he would tap the outer part of my thigh as an order to close them. However, it was near impossible for him to correct the position of my arms with a stick, so he would drag Shane in. Much to the latter's annoyance, and direct him into the 'correct' position.Which didn't really look all that different from mine, even when I looked into the mirror, I still couldn't see a difference. Apparently, these two 'highly professional and well trained' men could see it and would just sigh if I didn't get it. telling me to move on and forget about it.

"We trained for so long yesterday, can't we take a break today?" I sugested.Edward gave me an unimpressed look and called Shane into my room."What was the average time Julian agreed on her training for?" Edward asked.Shane responded almost immediately, unknowingly crushing my hope for relaxation."Minimum of three hours everyday, we are to teach her as much as we can before Boss returns because he will be testing her soon after." Shane replied.I stared at them, suddenly interested as they told me of Julian's plans."Really?" I asked.Edward rolled his eyes childishly, giving me a frown."Yes, now hurry up and get moving. If it wasn't for the training you'll probably be fat by now." Edward said.I gasped, offended as he turned around to leave. Picking up the nearest pillow, I threw it at him, hitting him square at the ack of his head. Edward glared at me, tossing the pillow onto the couch while Shane gave me an amused look. After they left the room, claiming that they would wait outside for me to return. I quickly removed myself from the bed and changed into Julian's attire, hiding it under a robe before stepping out of the room and following them to our destination.

This time however, our destination wasn't the same. I frowned as we passed by the room we usually practiced in. Neither of them, turned to even look at it and continued striding towards the back of the mansion. It was after nearly all other members had disappeared from sight, that both of them came to a stop in front of a door that led us outside.

Once outside the mansion, in what I would've called a backyard had it not been so huge.A table was set out in front of us, bottles of what I presumed to be glass, were set out on it. At least five were present on the table and another box filled with them was put to the side. A bunch of guns were neatly set out beside the table. At the right side, the smaller ones were displayed and at the left side, the much larger ones. Such as riffles, were kept.Shane walked back to the door we had walked out of and stood guard. His head turned to us and back facing the door. Probably blocking the view of whoever tried to spy from the inside. Meanwhile, Edward started going through the rows upon rows and columns upon columns of guns, looking for the right one.I felt excited, our training so far had only included physical training, like punches, kicks, tackles, back tackles etc. Which had been extra difficult since no man besides Julian could touch me and no other female knew how to fight. But now, I was going to learn how to shoot, with a real gun. I mean, I had always played with toy guns when I was a ki~ I cut the thoughts off right there, I knew Julian was doing the best he could and under these circumstances, I could only rest assured that my parents were okay because I had asked him a few more times.Believing him when he told me that they were fine.Sighing to myself, I forced the negativity out of my mind and focused on the guns that Edward was searching through. I knew something worse must have happened for them to suddenly decide on teaching me how to shoot a gun but I wasn't sure if asking Edward would get me the answers I needed.Once satisfied with the one in his hand, Edward flicked some type of a switch around the back of the pistol and handed it to me."Smith & Wesson M & P 9, I think you can handle this one."He breathed out, looking as though he was still confused as I analyzed the gun, turning it sideways before staring into the nozzle. The gun was immediately snatched out of my hands as Edward stared at me with wide eyes."Are you out of your mind! I might've turned the safety on but Goddammit, you should know better than to point a gun to your eye."I gave a small apologetic smile as he huffed and turned to the gun in his hand.

"Now listen closely, I won't start shooting till you learn the best way to stand when taking aim. Which of course, is easier said than done." he said.I quickly nodded my head, agreeing to everything he said. Because practicing a pose was far much harder than the exercise itself. But I wasn't so sure in this case, I had never held a real gun before and the simple thought of doing so made me feel excited. My smile dropped after I reminded myself that the danger was clearly much larger than I would've pegged it to be, otherwise, there was no other reason for Edward to jump to guns suddenly.Edward turned around, aiming at one of the bottles before explaining why he was standing like he was."The position that is best for long range shooting for beginners is this one. Legs spread equal to the width of the shoulders. Dominant hand on the trigger and the non dominant one being used as support."I nodded once more, taking in his position again and also noting down that his left hand was the dominant one."But of course, there are some restrictions to this position as there are to all the others. The main one would be that in order to secure a proper hit, the victim and the shooter must be at equal ground. If you're below, then wide spread legs will only be a hindrance. Not meaning that they should be perfectly closed either. A minimum distance of at least half your waist would be the best in that case."My mouth formed an 'O' and I let out an excited squeal as he turned to a tree and shot at it, I watched for a second before an apple dropped to the ground. The branch on top of it seemed to have been his target and I was undoubtedly impressed.

Edward turned around as I clapped, a victorious smirk on his face. But it disappeared the instance he looked towards me-behind me- to be more precise. I turned around in confusion and grinned widely as I spotted my husband approaching the two of us."I'm starting to believe that choosing you was the right choice." Julian said. His arm snaked around my waist as he pulled me close and landed a kiss to my head. Edward's chest seemed to puff out at the praise as he responded."Of course brother, glad to have not disappointed you." Edward said.Julian nodded his head."So how far have you gotten?" Julian asked.Edward glanced at me as I glanced at the fallen apple a few yards away."We were discussing the positions which are best for beginning shooters." Edward replied."Alright, I'll take it her off your hands then, check the file in your room." Julian said.Edward nodded towards the both of us before handing Julian the gun and jogging off towards the door. As he and Shane disappeared inside, Julian whispered slowly in my ear "Lets begin then, shall we?".
