Chapter 31

  Josie's POV

It is the end of the week, and I am still thinking about Roger's question.

I never knew myself to be this slow.

'Maybe because you are avoiding having a conversation outside of work schedule with him!' I subconsciously screamed at myself.

I plopped myself in my chair with a heavy sigh, pulling the tiny rubber band I used to get my hair into a ponytail. Maybe this will reduce my frustration.

'A love frustration, I might add.'

"Am I supposed to be worried?" A familiar voice projected from above me. His voice laced with amusement.

I frowned at him. How much did he see, and how did I forget to close my door?

As if he could read my mind, Roger pointed out, "You left the door wide open, and I even knocked on the open door. You should probably consider closing your door whenever you decide to go crazy."

"I am not." I rebutted, sinking deeper into my chair to hide my small frame in shame.
