Chapter 33

  Josie's POV

I chuckled at his joke, but after a few seconds, I noticed I was the only one laughing.

I glimpsed at Christian, and he is staring at me in all seriousness. It didn't seem like he was joking.

My mouth hang open from shock.

"Close your mouth, Josie." Christian playfully mocked, pinching my cheeks.

I closed it, opened it, and closed it again. I don't know what to do with myself.

  Christian chuckled at my reaction.

"I am serious, Josie." He confirmed. "I know that you are not mentally prepared for a relationship, but I feel like if I don't let my intentions be known, then I might never get a chance to again."

He took a deep breath and continued, "You don't have to give me an answer now. Take your time and think about it."

Oh my God. Christian freaking Evans just asked me to be his girlfriend.

My heart is now beating so fast that I think I might have a heart attack.

  'What should I say?'

  'How should I respond?'
