Chapter 41

Norman was really thankful that Eunice had bought him his own car. If not, he might have taken a bus to get there. The distance he has travelled is so worth it. More worth it for he travelled for the sake of a friend.

The place seems to be like theirs: complete in all physical aspects. The only difference is that it is so quiet. He pressed the doorbell to notify the people inside about his presence.

A woman who is about in her seventies came out. Trying to recognize the visitor they have outside.

“Yes?” she approached as she walked slowly, examining him.

“Good day!” he greeted and took off his cap.

“Good morning!” the woman replied lively though still in wonderment.

“I am Norman. I am looking for a certain person named Sonia Denovich. I was told this is her residence.”

“Yes. Sonia Denovich lives here. What do you need from her?”

He was taken back when she looked at him from head to toe—from toe to head.
