Chapter 125

  Eve carefully packed up the things that were provided to her by the organization. For the first time, only the irritating sound of the alarm and the instrumental music greeted her good morning—the silence is calming yet sounded deafening, making her feel how lonely it is to be alone.

  ‘You woke up so early today, Captain.’

  “Good morning, Anne! Well, as you can see, I have to.”

  ‘What is good about leaving?’

  “Depends on what you’re leaving for, depends on what you are leaving.”

  ‘I have always thought that I had already met the few people who are full of such thoughts—so deep. But your team had me witnessed that there are more I have yet and might never meet.’

  “I am sure the next team you’ll be working with is as good as ours.” She gazed around to have a one more look at the spacious room. Even with the things it has, it still looks so empty.
