Chapter 133

  The corridor is so silent that she almost think she was sent back to the Island. No one was sent to fetch her, neither noticed her to go out of her hide.

  Instinctively, she followed the passage leading to the opposite of where her room is situated. The nearer she gets to the last door, the louder her inner voice is urging her to go on. Like she’s getting closer to discover something scandalous secret.

  She nervously tiptoed and covered her hand with a handkerchief. She holds the knob cautiously and gulped before gripping it tightly.

  “Please not corpses—not of my team at least,” she uttered.

  A vision of a dark room, disgusting smell, slimy blood, and fearsome silence is what stopped her from opening the door. The nefarious sight that her mind is warning her she’ll see in the room made her stepped backwards and observed the other doors.

  None of those have given her the same curiosity and fear like that one has given her.
