  She heard them leaving, but she stayed. His stick is still smoking, that means he didn’t leave. She surveyed the forest, in hopes that he might just have gone for a while when one of his fellows approached her.

  “Captain, if you want to not get involved, just forget that he existed.” He accompanied her back to the building as she wondered how can the man save her when they were ambushed if he is actually one of those intruders.

  With that in her mind, she rushed to Lux’s office, whom she had found having a sensitive discussion with his men.
