CHAPTER 209

  Everyone is holding their breath, patiently waiting for the doctors to announce that Sophia is finally born out of her incubator. Seeing her everyday lying in it seems like Eve is looking at a capsule containing a human clone, though she has never really seen one before.

  Twenty-eighth of June, at exactly eleven thirty-one in the morning; minutes away before the break, the Head Doctor face them. In his hands is the tiny life, moving her little hands, trying to grab on to something.

  “Go, she seems to be looking for you,” Eula uttered and gently pushed her back.

  She tightly gritted her teeth to refrained herself from blurring her sight. There she is, the innocent one who has been told by the organization’s science that is impossible to come to reality. Yet, she defied their belief.

  “Hi there, Sofia,” she greeted and let her hold her fingers. She carried her in her arms, cradled her in the slowest and gentlest sway that she could.
