Chapter 38

　　Mathias turned to face Clara and she understood what he meant.

　　She quickly brought out the broken laptop from her bag and handed it to Mathias.

　　“ This, ” Mathias said, showing the man the laptop.

　　“ Let me see it, ” the man said, widening his palms for Mathias to place the broken laptop on it, which Mathias did.

　　“ How did this happen? ” he asked as he kept inspecting it.

　　“ It was a mistake, tell us can you fix it or not.” 

　　Clara said very much conscious about time.

　　“ It's damaged really good but not beyond repair, however you will have to show me your receipt first, ” the man said.

　　“ What receipt? ” Clara asked.

　　“ Receipt for the laptop, the one given to you on purchase. I have to know it belongs to you, I can't work on it without seeing the receipt first. ”

　　“ What? What if I don't have the receipt with me? ” 

　　Clara asked.

　　“ Then I am afraid I will have to hold on to it until you get the receipt because it might be stolen property. ” the man said.
