Chapter 38: Wendy, There’s No Running Away From This

Upon hearing that, the anger that Hanson had been suppressing up to that point flared up in an instant.

"The first thing that she wants to do after a narrow escape from death was to divorce me?" Hanson fumed inwardly.

He reached out his hands with a great urge to place them around her neck.

But when he saw the oxygen mask on her face and the countless tubes connected to her body, his brows pulled together to form a frown, and he eventually pulled his hands back.

He raised his eyebrows and said with a mocking smile, "Did you think that you could erase your past mistakes if you just divorce me as soon as possible? Wendy, you won't be able to run away from any of this."

"For my family's sake, I won't ever try to run away from this. You can torture me, however you like, and I'll accept them without any complaints. I just don't want to continue living as Hanson Yale's wife."

Hanson sneered, "If that is your wish, I'll make sure that it won't ever happen then."
