Chapter 23 The Terms on Our Marriage Agreement

After work was done, Matteo turned off the computer and stretched. "Let's get you home."

I quickly refused. "No need to. It's already late. You should go back to rest."

It was almost midnight.

Matteo frowned. "What's wrong? You're dumping me after what I've just done for you?"

I felt a little embarrassed, so I agreed.

When I arrived downstairs, he pointed at a blue sports car and a bicycle and asked, "Which one do you prefer?"

I pointed to the bicycle.

Matteo smiled and responded, "I knew it."

He then got on the bike.

I sat in the back seat. Though he told me I could hold on to his waist when he went fast, I refused.

During my college days, Matteo was the Prince Charming in the hearts of many girls. They all dreamed of the chance to ride on the back seat of his bicycle.

It was the night of an ending summer. The wind greeted us with its cool breeze. I sat in the back seat quietly, watching the scenery on the street.

It was as if we were back in college.
