"Abort it," He answered without hesitation and added coldly, "You already took the pills. You better not think about giving me a child and making me answer to my grandpa about it."

The corner of my mouth curved upwards, and I smiled bitterly. "Contraceptive pills are not always successful."

This statement seemed to make him nervous. His eyes fell on my belly, and asked worriedly, "Are you pregnant?"

"Guess." I looked at him calmly.

He stayed silent, but there was no joy on his face.

Motivated by my wishes of a father for my baby, I didn't give in. "Do you wish I was pregnant?"

He remained silent.

Since he's not admitting it, I'll take it as a rejection.

I hid my disappointment with a relaxed smile. "Don't worry. I'm just kidding. No matter how stupid I am, I won't have a baby with a man who doesn't love me."
