19 AWAKEN THOSE WHO SLEPT AWAY (3)

The wind whistled sharply once again. Flying through the mid-air and successfully, pierced the field force. Azalel who suddenly felt an urge of a coming attack, quickly formed a spectrum of light around him and Iliya's to counter it. But, unfortunately, at the same time, the field force that he made also disappeared instantly. Iliya, who also feel the surge of power, opened her eyes and saw a black arrow coming towards them. Soon, she activated her shield. Covered they both.

WHOOSHHHH!!!

The arrow was crushed and destroyed in a blink. They're safe but their power had triggered the anomalies which now, diffused in the air.

Seeing that her plan had worked wonderfully, the cat eyes lady disappeared immediately while Reuben rushed into them both.

"Are you guys ok?"

Azalel and Iliya nodded their head at the same time.

"Azalel, you can't be here. Her powers had been revealed. Now, she would be the main target of other demons. The high-rank angels will be looking for her too. You must run now…."

Azalel saw his face was scrunched with the pain while keep holding his left shoulder and his energy dripping out before dissipating into the mid-air.

"You were hurt!!" His eyes widened.

"Who did this to you??!!!" Anger was clearly heard in his voice.

"It doesn't matter, Aza.."

"You should go…"

"Now…"

"Bring her also with you…"

Azalel grabbed Iliya's hand and flashed in a blink.

Reuben sighed in relief but when he turned away, he gasped and jolted in a great shock. Barachiel was stood quietly right behind him. Since when? He has no idea.

Barachiel looked at him with a crumpled face and asked.

"Where is Azalel, Reuben?"

Monav Mokshit penthouse….

"I did it, Monav!!!"

"Yeayyyyyy!!!"

Eva suddenly popped out of the room hilariously with a huge grin on her beautiful face. Monav didn't reply to her but he just stretched his arms widely and hugged her in his embrace as usual. Pride was seen all over his face.

"You did what?"

Eva nodded while she spoiled herself in his beloved arms. Her face leans on the crook of Monav's neck. Smelling his scent. Adoring him like she always does.

"No need to kill an ant with a shotgun. Just let the rest come and hunt her down. When our time finally comes, she would be yours to be taken…"

"You did well, Eva. As always, sweetheart…"

Monav kissed her forehead gently but Eva tilted her head and sealed his lips with hers.

An icy smile curved on his coldly flat expression.

"Where is he, Reuben?"

Barachiel keeps repeatedly asking the same question with his piercing eyes while his feet walked closer at his subordinate. Closing the distance between the two. Reuben still stuttered in great shock and his lips trembled when he finally uttered some words.

"W…w…Who did you talk about?"

"You know who I'm asking right now, Reuben…"

"Or should I smack your head so you can remember his name?"

Reuben cleared his throat and take a breath.

"You mean….. Azalel?"

"Is there anyone who shares the same name as his?"

Reuben spontaneously shook his head. "No…"

"Well… you should answer my question now…"

"Where is Azalel, Reuben?"

"He….."

Reuben's head was spinning. Tried so hard to find the correct words to fix this problem.

"He's with that girl, isn't he?"

Reuben suddenly felt something explode inside his rib chest. Oh okay, he's right!

He can't hide anything else.

Inwardly, Reuben cried out loud frustratedly.

They both suddenly popped out on her campus. A small alley inside her campus to be precise. There was no one around them thankfully. Azalel has chosen the right place for them so they both won't be caught off by the eyes of other humans.

"What the hell was that??" Iliya blurted out her question in a single breath.

"I can explain it later but not now…"

He sighed heavily while he pulled himself from her. Feeling amiss, Iliya reacted.

"Hey, what's going on?"

Soon, Iliya gripped his arms before he can teleport himself. Requesting an answer.

"Little girl, I promise. I'll explain everything later but I can't do it now. I shall leave immediately…"

"And remember to protect yourself from any danger that may come along your way home today. As I taught to you before.."

"But… but…"

Her but's didn't get any reply. Azalel has gone. Again.

Iliya scoffed in annoyance and exhaled a long sigh then walked home.

Azalel arrived on the same hill as he was before.

A strange scent faintly diffused in the air. A mixed smell of peony and jasmine. A fairly fragrant of a woman. Just before the arrow was destroyed, Azalel silently released a speck of his power to captivate and accumulate what was left of its arrow. Gradually, the same arrow was floating above his palm. Black mist was seeped out from its thing.

"Arrow of Fury…"

"It has been a while…"

"Who has this kind of….."

Azalel didn't continue his words when he suddenly felt someone was standing behind him. He turned away and saw Barachiel was glaring at him with his folded arms. While Reuben stood next to him nervously. Azalel blinked his eyes several times and gulped before then he finally speaks up.

"Barachiel…"

"I… I can explain this…"

"No need. You must go with me at once. Now…" He cut him off immediately.

"Where?"

"Heaven.."

Iliya Nara house, at night time…

She can't sleep that night. She thinks everything about what had been happened this week to her. It seems like life was finally smile at her. After all she had been through. All the miseries and misfortunes that she endured so far. Those had reached their end. Her supernatural powers and abilities that she thought were a curse, after she could save a life with what she has, she eventually changed her mind. Those abilities are her blessings in disguise.

A huge grin appears on her face. While the tip of her fingers bustle small bubbles of energy that floats in the air. This whole thing, the lesson, everything that Azalel had taught her so far has been a revelation of her. Something beyond her expectation. Something that she never thought that she can do before and it was exhilarating.

She forgets how long has it been since she was able to smile happily like this. This kind of feeling was extremely rare for her. While she was lying on her bed. Seeing her ceiling up there that was decorated with the glow-in-the-dark stickers in stars form. She was so calm and relaxed. Slowly, she closed her eyes once again and raised her palm in the air. Let the night wind breeze, caressed it then tell their stories to her. Before, she finally closes her eyes and falls asleep in a deep slumber.
