Anger and sadness shine in his ocean blue eyes as he looks at her.
She presses Adonis closer to her, tightening her hold on him. She couldn’t bare to continue looking at Adryan’s face, because that look, that made her feel extremely guilty for keeping his son away from him for too long.
“Is the baby mine?” He asks after few moments of silence.
“No” she lies.
“Do not lie to me Jade. I can smell both of our scents mixed with the baby” he speaks, moving closer. His body now pressed against hers but careful not to crush the sleeping child she held in her arms.
His face moves closer to hers, his lips nearing hers but he tilts his head to the side last minute so that his lips were aligned with her ear.
“Do you take me for a fool Jade?” He whispers into her ear causing her to breath come out in uneven patterns as her body shuddered with tingles.
