How Was It Not His Fault?!

Was Casey safe? There were so many things in his head that weren't safe. He didn't know if he could believe that.

The panic was overcoming him. He couldn't stop shaking. This was wrong. Everything was so wrong that he didn't know how it was ever possibly going to be right again. He didn't want to think. He didn't want to be here!

He vaguely heard Vera calling for someone but couldn't process it. Someone was coming to take him away but she was going with him too. She didn't let go of his hand.

"Casey," an unfamiliar voice said. They had said his name multiple times before he could focus on it. "Casey, do you hear me?"

"Yesh," he whispered.

"Do you know where you are?"

"S-starlight Gardens Mental Health C-center. But when—why—what h-happened to me? What's real?"

"What do you remember?"
