We continue to converse since we haven't finished our meals yet.
"I know why you're wondering why I didn't cry, Valeen, but it's because I'm so tired of sobbing that I'm already numb. And you know I'm sincerely regret liking him, there are many men out there who are better than him, but Valeen, I can't teach my heart." My aunt gave me a warm smile.
"So if I were you, Valeen, take the lesson of what I've gone through and my repentance so that you might find the proper man for you, the one who will respect and love you to the end. You're life shouldn't be always like that; you should get married and start a family. Don't be like me; my husband abandoned me and leave me childless."
I was puzzled as to why the topic had been transferred to me. I don't want to marry yet. It was too early to start thinking about getting married, and I was scared that if I rushed things, I would wind up hurting myself.
"If I don't get married Aunt, and you can't find a new partner, it only means one thing; we're going to stay together for the rest of our lives," I said her.
"That's not conceivable." She continued as she was going to beat me with a spoon,
"You also need to experience being able to get married and have children."
"I'm sorry, Valeen, for what I said to you the other day, I was just upset." she said as she stood up and hugged me.
"It's okay, Aunt; I'm not sure how to cultivate rage." I responded.
After we had done breakfast, I offered to wash dishes.
After our conversation, my aunt is abruptly transform. We are like mother and daughter in every day's life, and it's coincidence that she and her husband parted ways.
One Morning, I was at the grocery store when the cashier handed me a newspaper, which stated that there were many numerous job openings in the newspaper. I took a look and decided to apply to the mentioned company; I would give it my all in the hopes of being accepted. I need to find work since my savings already withdrawn. I didn't want to rely on my aunt, who still had a lot of difficulties and debt to pay off.
Exactly eight o'clock in the morning, I was ready to go to company. Everything she'll bring has been prepared. She seemed a little jittery. What if I'm turned down?
"I thought you had a stroll today?" my Aunt ask while I was sitting in the living room.
"Do you have a problem? Why are you still here? And you're sweating, you've just gotten out of the bath, and it's still early." With astonished she asked.
She took the things, I was supposed to bring and opened it.
"The ones you're bringing are ready. All right, go for it." She was attempting to drive me away.
"I'm nervous. I'm not sure I want to go on, Aunt."
"What are you doing, Valeen, that's how it goes when you're new to job hunting; you'll get used to it."
"Stand there and get out of the house."
She help me to carry all my things to the front door. I didn't do anything but follow her out the door. I packed my things and went looking for a ride.
"Be careful, Valeen, she warned.
Valeen had come in the company in a matter of minutes. She inhaled a lot of air and swallowed a lot of saliva. She had already entered when a member of staff approached her.
"Ma'am, Good morning, do you have a meeting scheduled here?" The personnel asked me.
"Yes, I'd like to apply for the position of secretary. I'm looking for a place to go to for an interview." I asked her.
"Yes, we're still hiring until now; the office is on the fifth floor, and taking the elevator will make it easier for you to get there."
"Thank you," I said. The woman answered with a smile and nod, and I stepped into the elevator, and rode on the fifth floor.
When the doors open on the fifth floor, I notice someone waiting for me. We spoke and he asked me.
"Hello, you're the one, right? You spoke with the personnel at the bottom of the building. She called to let me know about you."
"Yes." I respond to him.
"Okay, the CEO will conduct an interview with you since he requires a secretary."
"He's inside, just knock and he'll open the door for you since I can't be with you right now, because I had something to do." I stood in front of the door, nodding.
He tapped my back and said right away.
"Wishing you luck." My anxiety increased as a result of what he stated. It was as though he was trying to scare me.
I knock several times but no one answered or even opened the door, and when it did. I was astonished to see a man shirtless sleeping quietly on the couch. I gave him my full attention from head to toes. My eyes opened when I saw his abs. This man is exquisite and sexy at his true age. In my opinion, because he is in his forties. When I heard a voice from outside, I was taken aback. I was rushed out the door before the man awoke, and I forgot to softly lock the door, causing noise.
As I stepped into the elevator, I exclaimed. Why did I go inside when I knew the man was sleeping? You just want to have a look, my mind replied.
"No, I'm not," and I'm reacted.
When I got on the elevator, there were a lot of people on it, and they were all staring at me, as if they were wondering why I was talking to myself and thinking I was insane. Why is he sleeping and not wearing a top during work hours? My thoughts said,
"That's it, I wasn't even interviewed, and remember he's the CEO, he's not a good role model for his employees." I whispered it quietly, and man next to me looked at me, so perhaps my words were reinforced. Because my mouth is twitching, he could question who my opponent is. Maybe he was terrified and glance down because I raised an eyebrow on him.
I eventually exited in the building, and took a long breath, and exhaled deeply since I was suffocating and my foot was already trapped in my high heels because I'm already in pain. My foot may be swollen.
I looked for a cab and returned home; I have no plans to unwind today since I'm tired of what happened and I'm not happy about it, the interview was canceled because the shrewd CEO is sound asleep. My mind said it in a mockingly toned.
When I arrived, the house is very silent and I'm sure no one was inside. It's convenient because I don't want anyone to bother me right now, it's incredible that my aunt didn't phone me to let me know she was going somewhere. I shrugged and walk into my room, where I didn't change my clothing but I did lie down on the bed.
Adonnis, On the other hand was startled aware when the door to his office suddenly collapsed. I saw no one inside, who had entered in my office without permission. I summoned my employee. Thomas, I asked him instead.
"Thomas, I have a question for you, so please come to my office." I said to him over the phone.
"Yes, sir." He answered.
Then Thomas walked in. "Sir, What is that?" He asked me.
"How did the interview go? Is she qualified for the secretary position?" I become perplexed as a result of what Thomas stated.
"Can you tell me about that interview?" I ask him.
"Do you have any idea I'm talking about, sir? I'm letting her inside your office because you indicated that if there are any applicants, they should come straight to your office. You haven't been here?" Thomas asked me.
Because of Thomas's question, it suddenly dawned on me that the person who shut the door was one who had applied for the secretary position, perhaps she was enraged because she would never be interviewed.
"I'm asleep, Thomas, so I'm not sure, Please, check the first floor of the building; she might not have gone home yet." I gave Thomas my order.
"I just emailed the first-floor employees, sir, and they stated, the woman is gone, sir, perhaps she has already left," Thomas responded to my question.
"Find her, Thomas, since I don't want to waste time looking for another applicant, you know how difficult it is these days. I have a lot of appointment lined up, and I told you that you would be my secretary but you don't want to." I said.
Thomas scowled as a result of what I stated. He doesn't want to be my secretary because he knows my attitude, and he didn't want to be like, my secretary before who I've punished several times when they've got a mistakes. So instead of being my secretary, he should have joined my staff at the next corner of the building, which is not near me. It will never happen to Thomas because he is always effective at his profession.
