The rest of the time we spent at that bar consisted of me silently sitting in the chairs me and Evelyn were sitting in while she told me a lot of stories about her past. And then at some point in time, she decided to get up and told me she was going to the bathroom, although I didn’t hear of her until 30 minutes later when she told me that we had to go because her husband was coming home soon and that he liked having to find diner already made.

The whole time I couldn’t help but think about where he had spent this whole time, because of the way she came back. Looked like she had just seen a ghost or something. Not that I could ask her anyway. The more time I spent with her I could clearly see what kind of person she was.
