Unwelcomed Reunion

"Ash. Hey Ash, it's time to wake up" a young, feminine voice called out in Ash's head.

Ash groaned as he turned over in his bed, completely ignoring the voice. In response to this, the figure gently nudged the young trainer. This made Ash grin to himself as he waddled toward the source of the contact.

He weakly opened his eyes as he saw those beautiful golden eyes of Latias staring back at him. He spread his arms and yanked her close to him. Latias giggled from this as she then let out coos along with nuzzling Ash. Ash returned the favor by caressing her.

Over the months, Ash became infatuated with Latias. He would find himself starring at her for long periods. And how could he blame himself, she was just too beautiful in his eyes. He loved the feeling of her feathers through his hands. The way that her purr could lull him to sleep. And Ash was very thankful for her helping him with his problems.

And for all of those pros, it makes him love her all the same as she does for him.

Ash was soon interrupted from his thoughts as Latias leaned towards him and kissed his cheek. Ash's face flushed into a deep red but quickly returned to normal as she floated backward. Ash sat up from his bed where he would stretch his arms.

Latias gave a smile at Ash as she turned to the door and left downstairs. Looking around the room, Ash remembered that today he was going to have a new mission from Prof. Cerise. But Ash suddenly felt movement from his left side.

He turned and was face to face with his starter pokemon and best friend, Pikachu. Pikachu was stretching his body as he gave a smug grin to Ash. Ash quickly turned away from Pikachu.

"Morning, Pikachu," Ash greeted.

"Pika chu," Pikachu called out as it moved to Ash's lap.

Ash petted Pikachu's fur as he remembered him breaking the news of Tia, aka Latias, to his friends in Alola. He grinned as he recalled their shocked faces when he revealed his relationship with Latias. This was followed by a series of congrats from his friends along with a discussion about the types of relationships of humans and pokemon from his teacher. But it was a great time nonetheless. He also recalled Pikachu tackling Latias to a hug during her revelation.

But in the present, Ash would sort of regret his decision back then. Always dealing with the constant teasing from Pikachu. What's worse was that Ash has yet to tell the rest of his friends and family, much less he didn't tell his mother about the relationship. But at least he introduced the eon pokemon to Delia, which Latias immediately took a liking to her.

Ash sighed as he laid down on his bed again, earning a long sigh from Pikachu. Pikachu stood on top of Ash as he stared down into his honey-colored eyes with a 'really' look. Ash sighed in response, "Ok. Only because Latias may come back... This time maybe not so lovely?"

"Pika," Pikachu yipped, giving a thumbs up.

Ash proceeded to get off the bed as he began to change into his regular day-to-day clothes as Pikachu watched from the side. Once fully dressed, Ash reached towards Pikachu. Without skipping a beat, Pikachu eagerly jumped on Ash's arm and climbed up to his shoulders.

"Come on, let's get some breakfast," Ash commented.

Pikachu cheered as it took off from Ash's shoulder and ran downstairs for some early pickings. Ash chuckled at Pikachu's sudden burst of energy as it reminded him of his childhood. His painful childhood...

'No, that was in the past. Things are better now,' Ash said to himself as he skipped down the stairs.

"Ash!" someone shouted in the kitchen.

Looking in the direction was his research partner, Goh. He was holding two plates of today's breakfast. One was near him and the other was stretched out towards Ash. Ash nodded in thanks as he grabbed the plate and took a seat across from Goh from a nearby table.

As Ash was going to dig into the food he was suddenly bumped in the stomach. Ash yelped in surprise, gaining the attention of Goh and the nearby professors in the room. A voice then giggled as a flash of light emerged from Ash's stomach.

The light died down as in its place was Latias, giggling and hugging Ash. Goh and the other professors rose their eyes in amusement as they were already used to seeing Latias appear from time to time.

It was amusing when Ash remembered her introduction to Goh, Chloe, and everyone else, but he hasn't told them of their relationship, as they would try to find the pokemon. But after a quick explanation, they now knew that she was Ash's pokemon.

"You know Ash," Goh said, gaining Ash's attention, "I always wondered how you manage to capture a legendary pokemon without me knowing about it,"

"Well, I've had her before I met you," Ash retorted.

'And the fact that I have not even caught her with a Pokeball yet. But I think she would like to be free for now,' Ash thought to himself.

"Yeah, but you could have shown us sooner," Goh complained.

"Uh... That's up for her to decide," Ash refuted as he took another bite of his breakfast.

Latias chirped in agreement as she continued snuggling onto Ash. Without thinking, Ash moved his hand down and stroked Latias's back. She enjoyed it as she hummed and purred toward the touch.

As Latias enjoyed Ash's touch along with ignoring his banter with his friend, she could recall the times they spent together in Alola and Pallet Town. She remembered their reunion on that fateful night. The way she comforted him when he blurted out his problems to the world. And then going to see his current residence and cuddling in the bed.

But after that night, it seemed that Ash had gotten better. He seemed more happy and talkative. Then it became fun after that as they tried to hide their relationship from their friends. Then there was the Ultra Guardians. She enjoyed the work it brought, but she became bored.

Then they sadly have to leave Alola. From there, Ash introduced her to Delia. Latias loved his mother, her cooking, and her garden. It reminded her of Altomare.

From the thought of Altomare, Latias's expression fell as she thought about Bianca from her home and how was she doing.

It was tough as she remembered the tear-filled goodbyes as she departed from the city. 'Maybe I ought to visit with Ash,' Latias pondered to herself as she floated off of Ash.

Ash noticed Latias moving away so he went up from his table where he disposed of the dishes and went to the laboratory of Prof. Cerise.

Entering the room, Ash noticed the various technology around him, not that he knew what they were, and in the middle was the TV screen he's seen multiple times with Goh. Displayed on the screen was a single island.

With Latias behind him, Ash made his way to Prof. Cerise and waited.

Prof. Cerise was scrolling through his tablet, reading anything that Ash couldn't understand. Soon Prof. Cerise spotted Ash standing in the room and closed his tablet.

"Did you enjoy breakfast?" Prof. Cerise asked.

"Yup," Ash responded, patting his stomach.

Latias chirped in response.

"Good, now let's get started," Prof. Cerise stated as he faced one of the TV screens. Ash followed his gaze and waited again.

"Chrysa,"

"Right," the assistant professor yelled as she pressed some buttons.

"Now on this island," Prof. Cerise explained as he pointed to the island, "Is where we have found reports of massive psychic energy. And we believe that it may come from Mew itself,"

"Wow!" Goh yelled as jumped from excited.

While everyone in the room took in the information about the chance of Mew being on the island, Latias turned towards Ash. And no one could see but only Latias herself as Ash's breath hitched and his pupils tightened for a second. But they returned to normal as Latias nudged Ash, silently cooing at him. Ash silently thanked her and rubbed her back as he listened to the conversation.

"Now, I would like Ash and Latias to go and investigate the island," Prof. Cerise ordered.

"Hey wait, what about me?" Goh whined.

"For you, I got a letter from a recently developed organization that you'll find interesting. They said to give you this letter as well," Prof. Cerise explained as he pulled out said letter from his lab coat and handed it to Goh. Goh hummed as he eyed the letter before nodding and leaving the room.

"To understand the world... we have to understand Pokemon that inhabits it," Prof. Cerise cryptically spoke, turning to Ash and Latias, "I know you two get along well. So I know that you're up to the task,"

Prof. Cerise smiled in the end before turning to one of the computers and began working on anything.

Ash looked at Latias and she did the same. Ash then gulped as headed off to pack his stuff for the journey.

Time skip

"So this is it?" Ash asked as he got off a raft.

"Pika, pika chu,"

"It would seem so," the voice of Latias confirmed as she descended in front of Ash.

"Well, no use standing here then. Let's go," Ash said as he trudged forward into the island.

It didn't take for Latias and Pikachu to catch up with the slightly distraught Ash Ketchum. Pikachu didn't know what to make of Ash's recent behavior but he hoped that it would get better soon. But Latias has somewhat of an idea of what's causing Ash's mini freak out. And she hopes to end it, but she can't rush in blind. So what better way than to follow Ash.

A few minutes later the group would find themselves overlooking a cliff. Beyond it was the jungle of the island. It was vast and green, and it would amaze both pokemon. Ash was amazed as well, but his mind was still somewhere else, still remembering the time with Mew.

After a while, the group stepped and peered out to the ledge of a cliff. What they saw was simply too impossible to explain.

In the middle of the scenery was a gigantic tree surrounded by the jungle along with its blanket of leaves and grass.

"Pika," Pikachu cooed out.

Ash gave a hearty chuckle as he enjoyed the scene along with Latias. Looking over to Latias, Ash could see her starstruck with an excited and joyous gleam in her eye. Ash bit his lip as he turned away and he hugged her with his arm, feeling guilty for making Latias and his pokemon worry.

Latias looked over to Ash as she gazed at his guilty expression. Latias furrowed her brow for a second but an idea came to her to lift Ash's spirits.

Seeing the scene in front of them, who wouldn't take the chance, Latias thought to herself as she leaned over to Ash as she connected her head to his. Ash looked at her in surprise as she leaned forward and kissed his cheek.

Latias smiled as she would have gone for his mouth but they don't like to do that in front of others, since Pikachu's nearby, so the cheek will do. Slowly she began to go in circles around Ash as she proceeded to dance around him.

This made Ash smile at her display until he laughed out loud. Latias giggled in return, glad to see him brighten up. Pikachu looked on and went back to the scenery with a smile as well.

"Come on let's go!" Ash shouted as he jumped from excitement.

This caught both his companions by surprise as Ash began to climb down the cliff toward the tree. Latias and Pikachu's eyes widened as they went to Ash.

Pikachu jumped from the cliff and landed on Ash. The sudden weight gain stopped Ash from his climbing. Luckily, Latias was next to Ash, and from there they went down to the jungle.

Landing on his feet, Ash took the time to take notes on his surroundings for Prof. Cerise. This also gave Pikachu and Latias to explore, but not too far from Ash's line of sight.

After Ash jotted down his notes for the professor, he turned and called out to both his Pokemon as he walked toward the gigantic tree. See Ash walk away, both Pikachu and Latias rushed their way back to Ash until they were right on his side.

Ash hummed as he jumped over bushes and overgrown roots. It wasn't until Ash suddenly stopped in front of a stream.

Ash's face made a disgusted look for the stream in front of him was black and brown combined.

"Ugh, what's that smell?" Ash complained as he covered his nose.

"Must be from the stream," Latias deducted, flinching away when she floated near the said stream.

"How do we cross this now?" Ash asked with his Pikachu on his shoulder with a thinking pose.

*crack*

Everyone tensed as the sound of sticks broke behind them.

Taking an agonizing glance behind, Ash yelped as he gazed upon a group of Mankey. Taking a closer look, they seem to jump around seeming to be upset at something, that being them.

"Ash we're in their territory. We need to leave now!" Latias as she floated in front of Ash.

She turned around as Ash climbed on with Pikachu clinging onto his backpack. Getting comfortable, Ash patted Latias' side giving her the go-ahead.

With a sudden burst of speed, Latias lifted off and quickly sped across the stream. Along the way, the Mankey tried to give chase but backed off due to the smell. Not forgetting the stream, all three of them held their breaths.

As Ash was about to lose his breath he soon spotted the grassy ground as Latias skidded to a stop onto the ground.

With a sigh of relief, Ash mounted off of Latias. Once on the surface, Ash was nudged by Latias as she dipped her face on Ash. Ash smiled with her affection as he wrapped his arms around her for a quick moment before letting go.

Latias whimpered as she wasn't done. But they had something to do so she went to his side and held his hand with her claw. Ash wrapped his hand around her claw, making her coo in joy, and made his way to wherever he was now.

Now as the group went deeper into the island, the sun was warm, the air was sticky, and the breeze was freshening. These things made Ash enjoy the island little by little.

No words were spoken as the group explored the vast jungle. Leading the group was Ash as he held Latias' hand behind him, brushing the low-hanging twigs and bushes. Pikachu stood to the side, sniffing for any signs of pokemon but once the coast was clear it skipped along with Ash.

As Latias followed Ash, she couldn't stop the redness from appearing on her face. No words could describe how much better her life had gotten when she reunited with Ash and them being together now. She'd think about the many possibilities that could happen upon seeing Ash again after she left Altomare, but she could care less as the perfect one was happening right in front of her.

Now though, she hopes that nothing terrible would happen to Ash. But could she be any more correct or not?

Latias suddenly felt herself bump into Ash as he suddenly stopped. Shaking off the suddenness of his halt, she took to the air only to find another stream.

'Hm, a bit bigger than the stream past us. But more violent too,' Latias quipped to herself.

Looking to the stream, Ash could shiver from the violent and forceful waves scraping the shore near him. Farther inside the stream, Ash noticed a path of stones. He'd have to jump through each one to get to the other side.

"Ash I don't think its safe," Latias urged as she floated in front of him, "Get on quickly,"

"No it should be fine," Ash tried to reason.

"I don't think so," Latias argued.

"Ok look, how about I show you that it's safe," Ash reasoned as he suddenly hopped on a stone.

Latias squealed in horror as she immediately went to his side, with Pikachu riding her back. Ash knew it well. Latias was always protective of her 'boyfriend', with a bit on the obsessive side. But he couldn't imagine her not being here with him. So he's thankful that she's here now so she could watch him with ease.

With a smirk, Ash made another jump, again getting another squeal from Latias. He turned to look at her with that smile she loved. She stopped as she gazed at him, thinking. Her face morphed into a disapproving look as she floated alongside Ash for his sake.

Ash let out a triumphant laugh as he hopped onto the next stone and the next with Latias trailing behind. Stopping again, Ash turned around and smugly asked, "See nothing dangerous here,"

As Ash was about to take another step, a rumble could be heard. This made everyone stop, their hearts stopping for a mere second. Turning to the far end of the stream as a Gyarados came riding the waves. Once it noticed the group, it let out a roar and accelerated in its speed.

With the giant coming their way, Latias and Pikachu slowly turned their head as Ash, a smile etching on their faces. Finally facing Ash, they expressed the look of 'I told you so' before they were swept from the air. Ash along with Latias and Pikachu plunged into the water and was dragged off to who knows where.

Unknown

"Ugh," Ash groaned as he turned to his, writhing in pain.

He turned himself on his stomach helping with his pain. Groaning, Ash pushed himself up but fell on his stomach as he puked out water. Once the water left him, Ash felt much better and stood up.

Now Ash didn't know where he was or what time it was but all he cared about was finding Latias and Pikachu. Not wasting time, Ash quickly sprinted around the area in search of the two. After a while, Ash found them as they were on the ground close to a nearby stream.

He ran towards them calling out their name. That gained their attention as they beamed with relief at seeing Ash. Ash slid next to Latias as he checked on her and Pikachu next. Once there were no injuries, Ash allowed himself to relax next to Latias.

Latias smiled to herself as she leaned towards Ash, nuzzling him. Ash felt relieved from her affection but now was not the time as he pulled out the device from Prof. Cerise and checked for any type of signal.

He frowned to see the device drenched in water, but at least it worked for now. Waving it around, Ash finally gained a signal but his heart dropped when he saw where it was. Then it quickly spat out electricity and the screen turned black.

"Ash?" Latias asked in concern.

His heart beating faster than ever, he slowly gazed up in the sky. Up in the sky, the very thing that killed him long ago. The source of the psychic signal. They thought it was Mew, but no.

Ash froze as Mewtwo came down, the pokemon's eyes gazing down on him. Latias and Pikachu gasped but they moved quickly as Latias shielded Ash behind her. Pikachu hopped in front of the group, electricity sparkling in his cheeks.

"Ash," Mewtwo called out, eyes furrowing.

"Hey there Mewtwo," Ash greeted, struggling to keep his fear in check.

"What are you doing here?"

"Well, I am searching for the psychic source on this island. I thought it belonged to Mew but it isn't,"

"Hmm, so you came after Mew... why?" Mewtwo asked.

"It's for a friend but he couldn't come with me, so I had to do him a favor if I found Mew," Ash explained.

Seeing that Mewtwo seemed content to talk and not prefer to do any harm, Ash patted the eon pokemon to the side as he stood up. As he stood, with Latias worrying over him, but obeyed his decision. Ash felt himself calm down, his heart slowing down, his breathing becoming calm.

'Maybe things could go right for once,' Ash thought to himself.

"Is it just you and that Pikachu of yours,"

"Well yes, but don't forget my uh... girlfriend," Ash responded as he blushed from revealing his relationship with Latias.

"You didn't bring any of your pokemon?"

"Yes, I have Latias and Pikachu, but that's it. Besides we were just exploring,"

"Well, Mew isn't here," Mewtwo said before continuing, "Maybe I should leave this island so I don't draw any more attention,"

"Yeah, you do you," Ash encouraged.

Mewtwo nodded as it floated up in the air. Once Ash thought that the coast was clear, he let out a sigh. He was suddenly hugged by Latias as she asked him questions.

"Are you alright?" Latias asked.

"Yeah, I'm alright," Ash said as he held her chin in reassurance.

"Besides it could have gotten worse," Ash joked.

She giggled from this and could refrain from asking, "Why?"

"Well, he could've turned me into stone or steal my pokemon to make clones," Ash said.

Pikachu looked at Ash in confusion but paid no mind to it as he climbed up Ash's shoulder. Ash rubbed Pikachu's head as he was about to climb on Latias and leave the island. But a voice interrupted them.

"Fascinating, you somehow broke the barrier and remember everything,"

Looking in the sky in surprise as Mewtwo was floating there. 'This is not good,' Ash thought to himself.

No words were spoken for the two. Ash stood frozen, Mewtwo floated still as he contemplated on something, Latias was in a protective position in front of Ash, and Pikachu went on the ground ready for anything.

When Ash blinked it seemed as if the world stopped. In front of him, Mewtwo was flying towards him, his hand stretching out to him. Ash then knew that he didn't have time to dodge and that this was going to hurt.

He braced himself but Mewtwo was suddenly tackled by Latias. Mewtwo was launched away. But when Mewtwo stopped, he grasp his stomach in pain but it wasn't too bad.

"Hm, I can't let you go without me blocking your memory again Ash," Mewtwo explained, "You have so much potential but the memory of our first encounter will hinder you,"

Mewtwo then flew at Ash again but Latias was in front of him quickly and tackled Mewtwo again. She turned around and yelled at Ash, "Run, I'll handle this,"

"No, I can't..."

"Pika Pikachu," Pikachu yelled as he stood beside Latias.

"We'll be fine Ash, but I need you to go," Latias urged.

Ash would have argued but Mewtwo came back and clashed with Latias and Pikachu so he had to run. Huffing as he ran, Ash prayed that nothing bad will happen to the two of his pokemon. But all he was focused on was running.

With Latias however, she grinned to herself as Mewtwo tried and failed to get past her, making him annoyed and attacking her instead. 'Just as planned,' Latias thought to herself as she used her speed to tackle the pokemon and retreat before he could retaliate.

"Pika pika chu pi," Pikachu yelled as he used Iron Tail on Mewtwo.

Mewtwo activated a shield, stopping the attack. Slowly Mewtwo turned his head at the mouse pokemon. With a smirk, Mewtwo grabbed Pikachu in the neck and threw him down to a tree. Pikachu while still conscious was tired to move after that, so it was up to Latias now.

"Now where are you," Mewtwo taunted.

The reply was instant as a Mist Ball appeared suddenly and made contact with Mewtwo. Mewtwo grunted at the contact but was put aside by his worry over the sudden mist that formed around him. Using his psychic powers, Mewtwo blasted the mist away only to see Latias in front of him and tackle him again.

"Enough!" Mewtwo yelled as he grabbed Latias by the neck.

He squeezed with all his might, but he remember who she was to Ash. Instead, he kept the tight grip on her as he then slammed her to the ground. A crater formed as the force Mewtwo used was probably excessive but Mewtwo didn't care now. He had to find the boy.

Seeing Latias battered by unmoving, Mewtwo turned away and went off the find, Ash. But a sound stopped him. Looking back he was surprised to see Latias struggle to move, but that she was glaring at him.

"Please don't hurt him," Latias said, continuing to struggle to move.

Mewtwo ignored her as he continued forward.

"Please don't touch him!" Latias sobbed out loud.

Looking back, Mewtwo was sad to see her crying, begging him to stop, her please where meant nothing to him. Now Mewtwo for the last time ignored her as he went off into the forest. Her begging becoming desperate.

As all of this went on, Ash had stopped his running to catch a break. Seeing no sign of battle or Mewtwo, Ash thought that the battle was over. But who won?

But now Ash didn't know what to do anymore as he slid down on a tree to calm himself. But it was hard to do so. The memories were coming back to haunt him. But he's dealt with it before Latias came into his life. He just needed to calm down and think of something else. And sitting around wasn't going to cut it.

Standing up Ash was prepared to go back whether Latias would like it or not. But he had to check on her, he needs to know she is safe.

"She's safe, just out of commission," A voice told Ash.

Ash yelped as he was pinned to the tree he sat on. His breath hitched as Mewtwo was in front of him, holding him by his neck.

'Is this it then?' Ash wondered.

"I won't hurt you Ash, but I have to do this for your sake. You have so much potential, and your memory will hinder it. I won't allow it to ruin you,"

"But I was fine when Latias came along,"

"Do you think that talking about it will make it better or go away," Mewtwo yelled, tightening his grip on Ash.

"No it doesn't," Ash said looking down.

"Then it's best that you put those memories to rest," Mewtwo stated as his other hand shined.

"I guess so," Ash mumbled, completely giving up now.

Ash knew he couldn't fight him, so he accepted it. He didn't know what was going to happen. Was Mewtwo going to help him, hurt him or kill him like the first time? Ash didn't know nor care anymore. He just waited for the end.

Mewtwo seeing Ash give up, made him reconsider for a moment. Was his action correct, or was it not. He quickly decided to rid Ash of his painful memories.

Slowly, Mewtwo moved his hand to Ash's forehead and began removing the memories. Along the way, he saw the 'gate' that was supposed to block the memory but was stunned to see it broken. Maybe he should make it stronger, or just delete it. But Mewtwo wanted to try his luck and try to delete the memory. As he was about to do just that, some movement coming from the bushes stopped him in his tracks.

Mewtwo turned to the bush and was surprised the see Latias fly out and towards Mewtwo at top speed. Mewtwo couldn't stop now nor could he dodge, and the worse possible outcome happened.

Latias tackled Mewtwo with all her might, launching Mewtwo off of Ash. 'No!' Mewtwo screamed to himself.

Ash was now free, but nothing happened. He stood there but slowly fell as he couldn't operate his body anymore. This drew the attention of Latias as she went by his side. After reaching him, she quickly turned to Mewtwo with a determined gaze. Mewtwo knew that she would give her life to protect Ash.

But all that Mewtwo could focus on was the worst mistake of his existence. As he held on to Ash with his hand removing the memories, but when he was forcefully removed from Ash. In a split second, he accidentally released every memory upon Ash. The happy ones, the sad ones, the painful ones, etc. But the difference was that they were now supposedly 'new' to Ash. As if he experienced every memory again.

Thus the memories are flooding Ash's mind. And Ash is in a losing battle, never mind a hopeless war as he tried to block out every memory he can. But the painful memories, the strongest in his mind, were too much for Ash.

Now Ash was on the ground, apparently lifeless. Mewtwo knew that Ash did not become disabled because of the mistake but... but.

Deep down Mewtwo cannot do anything now. His stupid mistake may jeopardize who Ash is meant to be. Overwhelmed with guilt, Mewtwo glowed again blinding Latias. When the light died down, Mewtwo was gone.

When Mewtwo was gone, Latias relaxed and began to check on Ash.

"Pika," a weak voice called out.

Turning, Latias was relieved to see Pikachu walk out to the area knowing that he was ok, although a bit roughed up.

Turning back to Ash, Latias gently poked the boy. She tried again, nothing. Again and again, did she receive nothing from Ash. Starting to panic, she searched in his mind only to gasp. Tears started to flow down her face as Ash started to whimper. The whimpering then turned to sobs.

"Pikachu get on!" Latias ordered.

Pikachu understanding the situation hoped on her quickly. Latias went to Ash's side and gently picked him up with her claws.

"We have to go to the hospital," Latias told herself.

When she gazed into Ash's mind, she could see all sorts of memories flood into Ash. She couldn't stop them even if she tried and she knew Ash couldn't as well. This made her panic as she didn't know what Mewtwo did.

But she realized that when she tackled Mewtwo, his hand was on Ash's forehead already in the process of deleting a memory. And she disrupted the process and it somehow made this happen.

Hugging Ash to herself, Latias lifted off and flew to the way they entered the island. They ditched the thought of what direction they came from, they just needed to get help for Ash.

But deep inside of Ash's mind. He could hardly contain anything anymore. Mewtwo took everything from him and gave it back brand new. Now every single thing within him hurt. He couldn't comprehend why but he tried to stop the memories. Now Ash laid in Latias hands, eyes devoid of life yet he breaths.

'Please be okay,' Latias prayed to herself as she flew off.

Pikachu on her back suddenly dropped into unconsciousness. And Ash was getting worse in his mind. She tried communicating with their connection but she received nothing in return.

'Why did this happen,' Latias cursed.

Withing nothing to do Latias flew off in the distance toward any hope they could go. For Ash.

But you can't fix what has been broken.

Authors Notes*

Sorry for the wait, to those that read my other stories and end up here, or to you all that wanted (Or didn't) a second story for the 'A Cycle' series. This was supposed to come out in the holidays, but I never expected so much of my family to come down, i.e. my aunts, brothers, and whatnot. So I had no choice but to socialize which wasn't as bad as I thought. But it took my time to where I hardly wrote at all. And with school back, it made it much harder now. But here it is to you.

And well it would seem that Ash seemed to be getting better. But this one mission changed that. One could hope that he will get better... but we'll see.

Stay tuned for Part 3.
