Battle

Min's POV:

"I love you" I didn't know when that word slipped from my mouth, but I knew I truly did ever since I saw her, but I'm afraid to admit it to her because I won't be able to bear it if she rejects me. Although she hasn't shown any signs of disgust towards me, but I still have my insecurities concerning love.

"Come again" she said stiffly, and that sound broke my heart, but I decided to swallow my words and changed my hurt voice.

" I did say nothing" I lied through my teeth.

"No, yo…., Min I've got to go, we'll continue this conversation later".

I doubt it, I said to myself before bidding her goodbye and hung up.

Iris POV:

I guess I heard wrongly then.

Felicity barged into my room and frantically told me to hang up because there was something serious going on with the rogue and other pack members.

After bidding Min goodbye, we both ran out of the house and headed towards the pack prison.

The pack prison is where one wouldn't want to be, the disgusting smell of blood and dead animals gave one a hitch.

Even so, I wasn't bothered by the smell now but the rogue causing trouble in the prison.

The prison guards directed us to the rogue's cell and there we saw Felicity's dad cursing while pacing frantically before the almost dead rogue, which am sure was as a result of beatings received from Felicity's dad, Mr. Steve, and also from the absorption of wolves bane.

"Dad, what did he say?" Felicity asked frantically, seeing her dad pacing in the cell.

" War is coming soon, we have to seek for help from the Bright moon pack" Mr. Steve announced which shook us from our feet and nearly made us collapsed.

"Oh, we've got to go now, they're coming tomorrow" Mr. Steve said coming out of the cell and assigned the guards to keep watch over the rogue before we all left to gather all pack members.

Everyone was gathered at the front of the Alpha's building in no time.

"We all heard about the rogue attack and how the rogue has been caught, right?" he asked all pack members while standing on the podium.

"Yes alpha" all answered agilely.

"As I wouldn't want to trouble you, but it leaves me no choice but to tell you all that the remaining of the warriors pack are coming for war tomorrow. So, I'll like all warriors to prepare and those who know how to fight should sign their name with the leader of the warriors, children and few women are to stay with the children in the safe house and are not to come out until everywhere is safe. That'll be all for now, everyone should be at alert".

"Yes, alpha" everyone answered before scurrying away.

Felicity and I both went to the training ground and began to wrestle.

"Didn't you realize that the Bright moon pack sounds familiar" I asked Felicity while agilely escaping from her hold on me.

"I think so too".

"Oh yeah, it's Ken's pack! Shit" I exclaimed.

"That's true, so what are you going to do?"

" Of course I am going to join the battle, he isn't my concern at all" I answered half-heartedly.

"If you say so" she shrugged.

Night came, we were both informed about Ken visiting the pack and him asking about me. Like seriously, why? I kept thinking about the reason but couldn't come up with an answer.

Bedtime came, but sleep was far away from me.

"Hey you've got to wake up now it's time" Felicity shook my body furiously waking me up from my beauty sleep. The moment I wanted to complain, I realized the battle had begun and the Bright moon pack had joined us already.

I speedily ran out with Felicity and jumped into the air before landing on four legs, I changed into my wolf form. I began to attack rogues trying to run towards where the safe house was located.

Not only that, but I was tackled down to the ground by two vicious rogues. Likewise, I started fighting for my freedom and was almost there before I was slashed on the shoulder by another rogue, which, I think, was the mate to one of the rogues I killed.

Furthermore, I kept struggling until I had no strength in me anymore, just then a wolf howled loudly, causing everyone to cover their ears.

Just then I heard the thunderous steps of a wolf running towards me, I tried keeping myself awake, lol and behold the most beautiful wolves have ever seen came into my view, the moment I was about to touch it's fur, I passed out.

Ken POV:

We received a letter in our pack from the crescent Moon pack requesting our assistance in fighting against the warriors pack.

Hmm, that name rings a bell, I kept telling myself, then it clicked in my brain that it was my mate's pack, the moment I saw my mate I decided to run a background check on her and that's how I got to know it's her pack. I visited the pack hoping I'll catch a glimpse of Iris, but she was nowhere in sight, I knew deep within me, I fell in love with her the moment I saw her, but I remained Adamant and kept telling myself it was pure attraction. Still, I couldn't stop myself from asking about her from the alpha of her pack.

War day, I was very anxious while fighting, I kept having this uneasy feeling within me, just then I felt an excruciating pain on my shoulder, I touched my shoulder but found out it was fine, there was no blood on me but why was I feeling pain unless my mate…

Shit! I ran towards her direction transforming into my wolf, the moment I saw her she lost consciousness.

Iris POV:

I woke up in a familiar room, I tried getting up groggily, but a sharp pain from my shoulder jolted me awake. I groaned.

" Oh, thank goodness you're awake, you scared me" Felicity said happily.

"Am fine now, ain't I?" I replied, smiling sheepishly at her with a raised eyebrow.

"You never change, anyway I know am not supposed to be telling you this because of your body, but I don't have a choice, our manager called saying you have been asked to come and audition for a female lead role in a movie" she said while squeezing her hands together, which meant she was anxious.

Still, I felt joy in me, this is a chance for me to continue growing and I wouldn't let it pass me by.

" Sure, I will!" I shrieked happily while trying to hug her, but the pain in my shoulder stopped me.

"That's great" she said, giving me a fake smile.

" What's wrong" I asked worriedly

"So, do you know the male of the movie?"

"No, who is it?".
