The toddler tightly clung unto her waist, as he didn't want Iris to leave him behind or mistakenly drop him. Iris was prepared to give the guard a piece of her mind when the person opening the door came into view.
Immediately, Iris subconsciously stepped back in fright.
"Who was this?!" Iris yelled inwardly as she stared at her man who walked in with a glass helmet covering his face and head. He looked like a cicada with his masked head and tattered clothes.
Iris watched as the man sluggishly walked closer to them. The more he walked closer to them, the more Iris scooted to the far end of the room along with the toddler.
"Who are you?!" Iris screamed as she stared at the man's approaching figure. If the man wasn't wearing a helmet, Iris would have noticed that his mouth was opening, but no words came out of it. The man halted in his steps once he saw how terrified Iris was. Suddenly, he thought of things he could do to make her realize he meant no harm.
