Deeper Corruption

--Sky's Perspective--

"I'm just warning you, Sky. Elo is going to arrive any time now, and then it'll be a fight to the death. Elo can't inflict a fatal blow, but Zeal learned how to. He killed Xian." Talion told me.

The grip around my sword tightened and my stone began to shift into its red color. I could feel the rage boiling in my stomach.

Zeal stood a good distance away from the two of us and began talking. "To think, it would be apprentice versus the master at one point. You failed your mission and now I have to do it for you. How ridiculous."

Just as Teal began to open his mouth in response, I charged in and slammed my blade down on Zeal's whip-like sword. To his surprise, I actually had strength behind my swings now. I kicked him in the chest and pushed him back while Talion came in for another attack. Just as Talion had blocked Zeal's attack when I first arrived, Elo came in with frightening speed and blocked Talion's, sending us all back and putting us at a standstill.

"Talion, I don't know why you're trying to fight us, we know who the enemy is!" Elo said. I only smiled and nodded.

"You dumb Stones invaded our home, you're the intruders, you're the bad people. You know I can kill already, and with an invasion on this Isle, that means Talion can kill too, right? Since he was originally meant to kill me, that means he can kill other White Stones too, just like your friend Zeal, right?" I asked Elo. I charged in toward Elo, but his speed tricked me, and Zeal went in for a hit.

I pushed my body forward and surely enough; Zeal's sword went straight through where my head used to be. He was definitely trying to kill me, without a doubt. Beforehand, his attacks were aimed at non-vital points, but now he's going for a one-hit kill.

"Sky we can't win like this! Focus on Elo, I'll take Zeal!" Talion yelled out to me. The two of them smiled and split up, meaning we both had one target now. Elo didn't understand that my strength was tunnel vision.

Elo's speed was no match, as he couldn't hit me and kill me, he could only weaken me. I disregarded my head and chest and paid attention to my arms and legs, watching his blurring image move to the right and left repeatedly. I was able to watch closely and block his attack, but from the speed of his sword, my own blade was launched in the air by a good fifty feet. That power would mean the end of me if he corrupted his system… what was his Flaw? How can I stay away from that?

[RECALLING ARMAMENT…]

[Cooldown: 4:59]

I put another slash on his arm just as a sword appeared in my left hand. This was it. Everything I've learned, everything I've earned, and everything I fight for led to this moment. Elo would not best me!

I countered his swing and punched him in the face. That wicked smile that I claimed back when I fought Ethos and Logos was starting to erupt on my face… but what made it worse was how light my body felt. The euphoric sensation captivated my muscles and left me feeling as strong as ever before. No fatigue, nothing was happening in my body on its own.

I felt the aftereffects once I started panting. I launched Elo back into the metal cage surrounding the coliseum from the inside and he bent it, causing an opening that people started pouring through.

I decided to take matters into my own hands, Tavian wouldn't blow this coliseum as long as I'm in it, and I'm not going anywhere until these two White Stones going against me were dead.

Elo charged in with his speed and once again, I utilized the abilities given to me by the system:

[DEFLECTION ENGAGED]

[Cooldown: 9:59]

Elo's right arm shot off of his body in one burst of energy and my left eye exploded once more. The bones in my left hand felt like they shattered, but that didn't matter right now. What was important was the man in front of me was bleeding to death and I didn't get to cut him up anymore.

I made sure to blink and breathe manually, but the drool dripping from my mouth was too much for me. I have one purpose right now, and that's to kill him.

Just as I flipped my sword and shoved it into the ice, he rolled out of the way, kicked my knee out, and dropped me to the floor. I used the sword I pulled out of the ice to deflect a kick that ended up blowing snow and settling on the ice out of the vicinity. His power was getting stronger… or maybe that was the speed.

Either way, his right arm was missing, and I lost my eye, but everything else seemed to work now, including my left hand. Maybe it just felt paralyzed for a second because of the power.

Elo and I traded blows, hitting each other on the body. He changed his direction for attacks now. They were getting to be a lot closer to my vital points. I only smiled, this meant more of a challenge for me and much more of a satisfying kill!

He swung his sword and missed, so I took the chance to drop mine, grab his left arm, and bite into his bicep, ripping and tearing the muscles as he screamed and slashed at my neck.

With blood dripping from my mouth, I felt even more satisfied than before.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" He yelled at him.

Before Elo could even take a chance to calm down, I punched him in the face and launched him backward a few feet. My power was increasing this well… if this was the power I needed to beat all these damn White Stone's, why haven't I done this before?! That smile returned to my face after acting serious. The euphoria was pouring out of my body in the sound of giggles and sweat at this point.
