Dani VS Moon (1)

-1:19 P.M.-

--Dani's Perspective--

"So, you think you can beat me?" Moon asked me.

"Think? I know I can. I don't like how you're in my way from my goal, so you'll need to die now." I told her.

Moon was much more frightening than anybody else I've encountered. The way she stood, her weapon, the way she looked at me, it was far above me. Yet, I couldn't give up.

I've trained, I've been useless, I haven't done anything worth value, but killing Moon would be the thing that sets me as a valuable member of Sky's Family. At this point, I knew that wasn't just what I stood as, I was important to him, and that's what gave me the motivation to stay alive. I narrowed my eyes, watching Moon closely.

She drew her katana and ran in toward me. She was fast, she swung fast, and she had strength like no other. I took the hit from the katana against my rapier and deflected it, swinging my body to kick her in the head before she dodged backward again. She didn't land a single hit and charged in for no reason. I stood my ground.

I was completely silent at this point. My brain was processing a lot of information at once right now, but that was because of the stim-shot. The surroundings had been accounted for. I could tell the glacier next to me could be used as the grounds for running off of the wall, the slippery parts of the freezing water on the floor from the splashing fountain were an obstacle, and most importantly, I had more weapons on my body than just this rapier.

This time, I ran in, poking at Moon with my blade. She deflected the hits off of the edge of her katana, purposefully refusing to use the sharp edge of it. I knew why, because it would dull her blade and cause her to lose. The flattened part of the back of the katana blade was her main means of defense when I was close, but as soon as I stopped attacking, she flipped the entire thing and took a swing at me.

Moon was way too slow for me and after three sets of dodging and attacking, I landed another slash on her chest, opening up a part of her shirt right above where her heart was. I wasn't panting, wasn't sweating, and wasn't tired yet. Moon had already received two cuts; one from Lia, and one from me.

"Frankly, I'm impressed. I didn't expect a girl that looks as fragile as you to be so well-refined in your fighting style. Congratulations, you've impressed me." Moon told me.

"I appreciate it. Will you kill yourself, or will I have to force you to die?" I asked Moon.

"I choose option three." She responded.

We collided and slammed our blades against each other. There were sparks this time though, as her strength had increased. I had to follow right behind!

Moon was agile, ducking, flipping, and using her entire body's momentum to chain together certain moves that I haven't seen before. I've never seen a person stay in the air for three seconds while also chaining together attacks on me. Before I knew it, I had several cuts on my body, but Moon didn't stop at that point.

It got to the point where she was unpredictable, using both of her hands on the katana, moving my body around, and kicking me to push me back and slash at me again and again. I blocked several attacks with my blade, but there were swings where I could only receive the slash and deal with the pain. After about thirty seconds of this, she stopped again.

Moon flicked the blood off of her katana and threw it on the floor. I was bleeding badly, so I used another one of my stim-shots. I only had one left. The fight wasn't looking good, I would probably end up losing, but I will kill her with my blood lust, I just needed to hang in there.

She charged in again, but she slipped on the mixture of blood and ice on the floor while running. She clicked her tongue in irritation, but I had already taken advantage of it. Moonlight attempted to flip around using her hand, but I stabbed a hole straight through her left one, kicked her in the face with the heel of my foot, and put a long slash along her entire body. More blood had littered the place at this point.

"Not bad! Looks like you're improving." Moon told me.

This time, we both charged in once more and the blades slid against each other. We were both abruptly stopped by black smoke which billowed throughout the entire courtyard we were fighting in. It was blinding at first, but I could see through it for the most part. With how close we were fighting, our visibility didn't change at all.

"Scared of the dark?" Moon asked me laughing.

"I'm not," I told her. "I'm more afraid of the way you plan to use your sword in the dark."

"Aw! I'm glad you can be honest with me when you're usually such a cold and barren girl. Can we finish this already?" Moon rose her katana as she did before.

Before I could even raise my blade in retaliation, the katana in her hands slid into my shoulder. I felt every single nerve in my left arm die out and I could no longer move my fingers at all. I planted my foot into her throat and kicked her back while my left arm dangled to my side. Shit! Why can't I feel anything?!

"Aw... did I hit a sweet spot? That's too bad... I was really hoping that you would be worth fighting, yet here you are with half of the fighting power that you used to have. You can run off now." Moon told me. She turned her back on me, she shouldn't have.

I pulled the knife out of my pocket and launched it straight into the back of her right shoulder. She fell forward as blood poured out of her wound, and turned her head. "You think this is a joke?" She asked me. Her kind demeanor changed.

"Don't turn your back on me bitch. We're just getting started." I told her.
