Dimming Hope

"How the hell... are you still standing?" Lily gripped her chest and coughed up blood herself. Why was she injured?!

"The White Stone of Greed. That's what you are. You steal the strength from other people." Noboki said to Orion. Even she was weakened, coughing up blood as well.

"Bingo! Guess you guys finally smartened up. I am the White Stone of Greed. I shall take all and use it better than anybody else. I won't need anybody after Deity trains me. She reigns overall." Orion said. There was that damn name again. But, why does she have so much influence over Sky and Orion? What is she?

"Nathan... I'm sorry." Orion said. Just as Nathan looked up to his father, Orion sliced his head off. The goopy mess of blood and broken bone fell to the boat as his body slowly toppled over. What the hell?!

"You killed your damn kid?! What the hell is wrong with you?!" Ellie shouted out to Orion. While everything was happening, I think I was able to figure out why he just killed his own kid...

There's no way Orion planned this all out!

"The blood of Generation Two... the blood of Generation Three..." I mumbled.

"Exactly right! I needed the blood from different Generations of Arkians, and you supplied me with what I needed. My regeneration... my power... it's so impressive, isn't it! I can use these strands no matter what! And I have all of Sky's powers... HOW'S THAT? DEITY? IS THAT STRONG ENOUGH?"

This guy was batshit crazy... what the hell...

"That's it. Then, you'll kill everybody here and exact your revenge alone? What a stupid idea..." Ellie told Orion.

"You're right. If only there were Generation Three and Generation Two Arkians that would stick with me through this difficult time... oh! I got it! You three!" Orion pointed toward Ellie, Lily, and me. "But... I highly doubt you three would listen to me... right? You know, we're all family one way or another." He added.

"I'm sick of talking, can we get back to killing each other?" Tyler asked Orion. Orion nodded and threw his sword straight at his head. It missed by a wide margin... but if he had Sky's abilities, it would be coming back!

I jumped towards Tyler and deflected the strike on its way back, landing next to him. The bleeding had officially stopped on my arm and I was able to get back into the fight without any worries.

"Sorry, everybody!" Orion shouted out with a smile. He ran over to me and threw me into the wall again. This time, all the strength in my body was missing. I couldn't even move my muscles!

Orion moved over to Lily, trading blows with her, receiving cuts, but he just healed past that slowly, pushing to her shoulder and throwing her into the wall as well. I could tell Orion was sapping our strength now, none of us could move at all!

"Shit! Tyler!" Orion picked up Ellie and threw her as well. He didn't even have to cut us. Just lying his hands on one of us meant that we couldn't move anymore!

Orion went through and threw every single one of us into the walls a great distance away. None of us could get up or go in for another attack. It was completely hopeless... was this it?

Seriously... to fight this far... just to fail here and die...

"Where's your leader? Did he seriously just give up and die? Where is that bastard? Over here?" He pointed past me. If Orion walked into that room and killed Sky, we would all be dead, subject to fighting for Orion until we end our lives.

"Here he is!" Orion shouted out, picking up Sky's body by his shoulder. "Hey! Wake up sunshine!" Orion threw Sky to the floor and kicked him. He really wasn't... moving? What is he doing?

"Put me down," Sky mumbled. Orion put his mouth closer to his ear.

"Sorry, I couldn't hear you. Why don't you try that again?" Orion said with a cocky tone.

He was soon shut up after Sky bit into his ear and tore it off, spitting the flesh onto the ground right beside him. Sky slowly pushed his body up using one muscle at a time until his back was straight. His eyes were closed and his smile was wide. What a creepy look...

"There you are! You know, I injured your friends more... are you just going to sit there and accept that?! What a pathetic human!" Orion yelled out.

I had a perfect angle to view Sky right now, as everybody else was scattered around us. The old tattoo Sky had on his body, the three lines shooting from his left hand up to his cheekbone, has surpassed their old limits.

Sky now had those marks shooting through his left eye, and curling up the right side of his forehead. I could only see it when the wind blew his hair out of the way, but there was a small, yet obvious, black horn at the end of that tattoo.

Sky finally opened his eyes to reveal a totally blood-red veil sitting over the entirety of his eyeball. There was no pupil nor iris... just a solid shade of red.

"You look a lot more fitting, White Stone of Wrath." Orion said to Sky.

Sky recalled his sword from the ocean after it was thrown off. The sword's blade and the speed shot a hole through the part of the boat they were fighting on. Water would soon flood the boat... but the Glassed-Out Isle was in sight. We were so close!

"I'll show you how to be a truly Corrupt White Stone, SKY!" Orion shouted out.

Sky rose his sword up like he usually did. I found myself so happy that tears started to slowly drip from my eyes. As scary as Sky was right now, he stood in front of everybody, ready to defend them with his life. I had full faith that we would win this fight... we just needed to give Sky the room to fight Orion.

This was it.

This was the final battle.
