"Mom, just now... what did you say?" I asked her. I had a strange look of confusion in my eye, but she only had a smile as if I wasn't supposed to find that confusing.
"What are you talking about? I said to just do a good job." She had a pained smile... something about this was all off, but it was best not to pry. I just nodded and went to bed after eating dinner.

The next day I walked with my parents and all of my necessities to MTG one last time to my dorm room where I would be staying for a long time. I had no idea when the year would end at MTG, so I packed up everything I thought I would need.
We took the annoyingly long trek back and before I knew it, my parents left me at the door with all of my stuff and gave me hugs, wishing me the best of luck.
"Lucas, it's not like you'll never see him again, we work here." Mom told Dad.
"Shut up! I know that, it's just hard to see our little boy grow up like that... especially after we've done it once." He told her. With that, they both left.
I noticed that Buusu had been eavesdropping on the conversation through her door. I could see her heels facing toward the bottom of the door, which could only mean one thing. That, or I was about to sound really stupid.
"I can see you, you know?" I told her. Her feet instantly moved away from the door and she never returned to it before I walked in.
When I arrived, Illya and Alexia were already there talking about something random.
"Oh, looks like I'm late," I told the two while moving my stuff by the stairs.
"Hardly, we just got here ourselves. Say, we were discussing our abilities, and Illya sounds pretty similar to yours, Sky!" Alexia told me.
"Is that so? Maybe we'd work well together." I said, moving over to the table. I stood with my head leaned up against the back of Alexia's shoulder, looking at the schedule with her to see what class I was in on the piece of paper she brought up to our dorm.
"It seems you two are close huh..." Illya said with a twitching eye.
"Yeah, we're like siblings. Same with Shike and Belle. I'm sure we'll get to that point too, Illya. So, you don't have to worry." Alexia said to Illya. She nodded and looked at the schedule with us, mimicking my placement.
"Looks like we all have a class first thing in the morning, and we're scattered altogether throughout the day otherwise. We can always have lunch together." Alexia stated. She was right, in the first class of the day we would be together with our dormmates, but lunch would be the only time, which meant we had less time to spend together now.
"No problem at all. So, when does the first class start?" I asked Alexia, fidgeting with a small toy on the counter.
"Usually they would start at eight in the morning, but today they start at eleven. We'll have to leave without Shike and Belle if they don't hurry up." She stated, moving toward the door to put her shoes on.
We went over the schedule some more and found that we had specific classes throughout the day. We had one for fighting, one for defending, one for strategy, and one for Rubeki combat. Totaling four, we had these split up throughout the week as well. It was pretty simple, I just learned the information out of order.
"Sorry, we're late! We ran into some trouble." Belle admitted as Shike and her poured through the door.
"Trouble? Like what?" Alexia asked, sliding in the chair while eating an apple from our fridge. Illya stand in silence just observing the natural friendly atmosphere we brought to the dorm. I didn't blame her awkwardness, considering we were all siblings and she was an outsider.
I bumped into her playfully and smiled, watching the other three talk.
"Don't tell me, was it that weird guy from your tournament? I've seriously never seen a guy like that. Didn't he threaten you?" Alexia asked Belle. Belle nodded.
"Somebody threatened you? Who was it?!" Shike and I synchronously asked.
"Don't worry about it! It was some scrawny kid, I could beat him in a fistfight without my ability if I wanted to. Anyway, let me see that schedule." Belle said, stealing it from Alexia's hands. She caught up on the details and we all walked to our first class together, crossing paths with Buusu and her group of five.
"Hey, Buusu!" I called out, but she only seemed annoyed. I guess she didn't want to talk at all.
"Keep it down, Asterio. I don't want to be addressed by the likes of you." Buusu said.
"Lovely as ever I can see. Hey, how are you guys holding up?" Shike talked to them like he was trying to pick a fight. I had to stop him before we had a big problem on our hands... because it seems like they were walking to our exact class in another building. It seems like we were all together for the first class of the day... how unfortunate.
Attacking was the first class and it went by fairly easily. Tomorrow, we would get into groups of two and start training like that, which means that I needed to look for my partner. There were five of us, so somebody was going to be left out... I agreed to take that isolation. I knew I could find somebody else, and I didn't want Illya to be the one left out.
Shike and Illya, along with Belle and Alexia would be fighting. As the teacher discussed certain rules, Buusu sat down next to me with her legs and arms crossed and a frown on her face. With her eyes closed, she turned her head away from me.
"I see you're alone. I guess it can't be helped if you need a fighting partner." She said. I wanted to embarrass her and say that I didn't, but at the same time... I'm glad it was Buusu. Maybe I could get her to warm up to me.
"Amazing, I was worried I would have to fight with somebody I didn't respect," I told her. Buusu's eyes opened wide and she looked at me as if to hear more compliments about herself... this damn girl...
"I'm not sure what that look means, but I look forward to working with you," I told her. She nodded and went back to her weirdly annoyed attitude. I walked off to regroup with my friends, leaving her to sit by herself.
