The next day of school came, but this morning things were a lot different.
Back during the tournament, Belle took on a man named Richie. Richie seemed to have that annoying atmosphere around him that Boo and her friends did but to a much higher degree. Richie was somebody not even Alexia could deal with, and she had the patience of a saint.
Belle told Shike and me that Richie threatened to beat her up if he didn't start winning against Belle during the mandatory classes we all had, which was insane because he would never truly be strong. Richie had recruited his friend, Dyna, to help him beat up Belle. Naturally, this pissed Shike and me off, and we decided to meet the two before they came over to get her.
"So, this was the place they said they would get her?" I asked Shike. He nodded, peering through the windows to look outside.
"I don't even see them... maybe they were all talk," Shike said, leaning against the window with his arms crossed.
"Where is Belle anyway?" He quickly added, getting back up off of the wall.
"We have her schedule and followed her, but she disappeared after the day ended... wait, did they get to her somehow?!" Shike rose the idea and I jumped into action. "Doesn't matter! You go get Zach and tell him about what happened, I'll scan our surroundings." I yelled to him. Shike nodded and basically jumped down all of the stairs as I separated off from him.
I luckily ran into Illya by accident and practically knocked her over. "Sorry, Illya! Look, Belle needs help and I don't know where to find her. Can you help me?!" I pleaded. Illya looked confused but not for a minute did she refuse, agreeing to join and even running with me.
"Do you know where she's at?" I asked her.
"No, but I can use my ability to find her," Illya explained, raising her left hand up and taking a deep breath.
"How does that work? What else can your ability do?" I asked her.
"It's your ability. Strands, I just have better use with it." She said to me. My ability? Better use? How the hell did she get that?
"After we solve this annoying problem, can you teach me?" I asked her. Illya agreed and looked over to the 'C Dorms' building to our left.
"There. She's in there, with two people." My heart sank as Illya said it and I broke out into a sprint, running through the neat courtyard and probably ruining it as I kicked up dirt.
I burst through the door to the C Building and heard the noise of blood splatters. Illya kept up with me as I ran up the stairs to see Richie and Dyna, the two assumed attackers, with bloody hands standing over Belle.
When Belle and I were younger, I looked at Alexia and her as my second sisters. We had been friends for as long as I could even remember. We were the best of friends, siblings even. Belle was the mother of the group, always making sure people were taken care of, and being nice to everybody. It was unfair for Richie and Dyna to beat her up, for any reason at all, because I know Belle would never purposefully upset them. I knew with all of my heart that isn't how she worked.
"HEY!" I yelled to the two. They turned back to me and unblocked Belle from my vision.
They broke her arm... they beat her senseless... sure, Gabrielle could heal her, but she would also be able to fix Richie and Dyna after I annihilate them as well.
"Hoh? Look at that, the Prodigy came to save his friend. Hey, did you know Gabrielle can't heal bones? Do you know what that means?! Belle won't be able to attend MTG anymore! I finally don't have to deal with her!" Richie said.
I don't know what I feel right now... but it was nothing positive.
I felt lost in my own head with a feeling taking over. I couldn't see anything around me and I only had one thought in mind.
I don't want Richie to be here anymore.
Not in the room, not in MTG... not alive.
I walked up to him and he tried to throw a punch, but I dodged it quickly and planted my knuckles straight into his lower jaw. Richie was slammed into the wall and must've lost consciousness.
"Hey! That's an expulsion right there! Wait until I tell Zach!" Dyna said. I looked over at him and felt the same thing.
"My friend has a broken arm... this nice person you couldn't deal with who was stronger than you was somebody you wanted to ruin. You ruined her future, for your own selfish reasons... I grew up with her, she's protected me, I've protected her, yet you came in and you ruined our friendship... you should start speaking." I told Dyna, walking over to him.
Illya blocked him from leaving and he seemed even more afraid that he was stuck and couldn't run away. I wanted to kill this man, and I couldn't stop myself at all.
I picked him up by his collar and slammed my fist into his face time and time again until his teeth were stuck in my knuckles. I shook them out and continued to beat his stupid face into the ground. He begged me, he pleaded to live, but the noise of his voice was completely drowned out with the same blood he was choking on.
"Sky, maybe that's enough for him..." Illya muttered.
"Maybe you're right. Hey, are you still here?" I shook him back and forth. Dyna was barely breathing on the floor, but Richie had finally woken up.
"Don't worry... when Gabrielle heals us, we'll be back in good shape and when you get expelled for violence against students, we'll head for your other friend next. Us C-Rankers deserve recognition-" before Richie could finish speaking, I grabbed his neck and threw him back into the wall, placing a huge crack that traveled up toward the ceiling. I caved the back of his head in and blood splattered everywhere as he slid down the now-painted pillar right behind him.
