--Cole's Perspective--
"So, what do you have for me, Cole?" Fico asked me over the radio.
I could only talk in the middle of the night because of the tight security. The guard outside sleeps, but keeps his foot moving with a machine... or something, to make it look like he's awake. I can see a declined usage of his strands with my Eye of Providence.
Speaking of that, I've done a lot of thinking about that Dani girl...
I have a theory that she's connected to that Sky person.
Sure, her deductive reasoning skills allowed me to spill information about my true motivations, but her Eye of Providence is the exact same as mine, and can't see intentions. Providence didn't have any such abilities. I would know that much, at least.
When Fico and I traveled to Providence's Corpse, I wanted to visit Ali Asterio's Corpse to gather whatever I could from her body, but it seemed that Sky handled that before I could get there. Now, the thing that bothered me was that Dani hit that corpse before Fico and me.
She shouldn't have been able to do that.
Fico and I were waiting in the background for Sky to leave the area, yet, the second they did and the second we got there, Providence only had one eye left.
I proposed the idea of killing Sky in The First Trial, but Fico was against it, wanting to wait until Eirikr met him for his approval in an attempt to hunt him. I guess Eirikr wanted to make sure this was the 'Real Sky', whatever that means... but the reason I'm so paranoid about killing him is that Eirikr gave us approval, and is making his own plans to kill Sky... why would he do that if we were trying to kill him?
One theory that appeared in my head...
Sky Asterio is so strong, that he could kill everybody in Quake already.
That's why Fico is afraid as well. Assuming that Sky is at his previous strength, our mission would end in complete failure before he broke a sweat, and Eirikr would be forced to go on the offensive. To sum it up, everybody would be dead, and Sky would be an intergalactic threat once more.
However, the way Dani was speaking leads me to believe otherwise...
Fico is currently searching through the second city she wanted to check out before grouping in this one. I was upset, giving her the news that I was imprisoned, but she didn't seem bothered. She only wanted me to gather information.
"So anyway, Fico. It seems that there's a girl of importance here, besides Ruby, the Mayor. There's a girl named Dani, and she has an Eye of Providence." I told her over the radio.
"Dani... interesting. I didn't see any correlation between Dani to Sky. What I did see was a black-haired girl with pink eyes, a white-haired male with blue eyes, and the most important one, in my opinion, a girl with brown hair and red eyes, shorter than the rest." Fico explained.
I perked up, looking outside of the cell...
Brown hair... red eyes... short? She must be talking about Faith... is Faith truly connected to Sky Asterio?
"What do you know about that girl? I think I saw her here... her name is Faith." I explained.
"It could be possible that Sky Asterio moved locations while keeping that Faith girl in another city, which is why I'm checking this one." She said.
"And... by checking... you mean..." I waited for Fico to finish my sentence.
"Do you remember my Incarnation? I don't talk about it often, but it's quite the tool when threatening somebody. I'm getting all the truthful answers I need. It's starting to seem that Sky might be in your city though... just give me two more days. I'll be there by... maybe noon." Fico told me.
"And, until then, I'll just stay here. See you then." I told her, hanging up the radio.
I sat in the cell, looking out toward the darkened city. Ah, this has me so nervous, thinking about meeting him again.
But, if I saw Dani again, I wanted to try and get more information from her... it's very obvious to me that Dani and Faith are friends, and Faith is connected to Sky Asterio... now that I think about it, this is exciting.
I've forgotten the thrill of the fight. What I imagine when I'm fighting somebody... and what my weapon can do.
A simple flail, nice and small... with an infinite extension range. I can push it anywhere I want and command the mace to fly wherever I see fit. I can only imagine fighting Sky with this weapon... and it makes me so excited.
The man outside woke up and I pretended to be asleep, watching him out of my barely opened eye.
"Ruby, he's asleep now. What did you want to talk to me about?" He asked the radio on his hip.
I heard silence, unable to pinpoint the volume of Ruby's voice.
"Really? He's dead? Such a shame. Well, okay, I'll get back to it." The guard said, sitting back down on the chair.
Well, that changes things. I wonder who they were talking about... could it have been Sky? No, he wouldn't have died so easily, not at the hands of some unknown person.
I can feel the excitement blooming already... when I get back, Kire and the others are going to be so jealous when I told them I was the one to kill Sky. They're going to praise me! And... I can finally gain my revenge! Or, so that's the story I've been telling everybody.
Truth be told, I did incite that riot that got his family killed. It was me. I was left in the dark when Sky was attacking me, but I can only assume that he figured it out and was enacting his revenge. No matter, he won't have the chance to do it again.
