With everything settling as the fight started to begin, Austin launched his blades out of Amy's body. I was the closest in range, but before any could hit me, a shield of ice appeared in front of me, stopping each individual blade.
"Don't be an idiot!" Illya screamed out.
From the thin spire of ice, the shield popped out of, it vanished into thin air, and left the shield in my hands.
From the distance, I saw another glint in the scope and pushed myself backward.
I simply flipped my body and slid on the shield as I propelled backward, and another bullet came from Carl, hitting Amy in the neck.
Her head was separated from her body for a split second. It should've been enough to kill her, but from where her spine was supposed to be, a blade shot out right for my face again, and some launched themselves at Illya.
I held onto the blades, crumpling them in my hands as they folded as easy as paper, and stopped them from hitting me in the eye.
This fight would be close, with how fast the blades move, how unpredictable they can be, and how weak they can be as well. In fact, I wasn't sure why they were so fickle just then, but what I did know is that Austin and Amy are no joke.
Illya appeared right behind Austin and slashed down with her saber.
He turned his body, summoned his own saber, and collided together with her.
I tried to jump in, but the sheer speed of the strikes, the flips Illya was performing, deflecting, and landing her own blows in... I simply didn't have the experience.
"One more!" Carl shouted out. I didn't know what he was saying, but I assumed it had something to do with this attack... so I finally jumped in.
Illya jumped off of my shoulder, flipped in the air while throwing three sabers down, and landed on the ground with a spiraling strike, taking all three sabers, breaking them apart, and recreating them into a huge, overhead-swinging axe that came down on Austin one more time.
Her strand control could only be matched by Sky, and her power was insanely high as well. A shockwave launched from Austin's feet, and I plunged my katana into the back of his knee, swung upward, and then stuck it into the base of his chest.
Blades shot out again, and I kicked them up. They folded in half as easily as paper, and from all of the bones on his body, blades shot out in a large area once more, which covered a large portion of the area around him.
My arm was pierced and the white strands flickered in my arms as if a light was turning off, and Austin seemed to get more powerful, pushing back against Illya, and cutting both of her legs off.
"Now... where is that Gun Guy?!" Austin screamed out, turning toward the glinting scope in the distance.
"SYSTEM LOCK!" Illya screamed out. Her left hand was raised, and I felt immense pressure emit... yet, I could move my body.
"HIT HIM!" Illya screamed out.
Clumpy chunks of blood fell out of her mouth and sprayed from her nose and she kept her look fixated on Austin, watching him with a wicked smile that reminded me of our fight.
I ran at him with my katana and plunged it into the top of his head, and after I saw the glint of the scope once more, I slid it to the right, cutting off the top portion of his forehead, and watching another bullet fly by.
This time around, the bullet stopped right before it hit Austin, and filled with blades, only to be sent back in the direction it came.
Ice shot out from Illya's position, and more blood came out of her body. Her joints were leaking, and her arms were bruised in a purple color.
I couldn't see much from the steam rising from the ice's surface, but I was met with another blade that exploded into many others, and my left arm was cut off at the shoulder.
It was a hit that should've killed me. I was unfortunate to have Illya in front of me, moving with a speed that could match Boo's, to take the brunt of the hit for me. Her stomach was opened up, and more blood poured out of her mouth.
"I-Illya?" I murmured, watching the blood splatter in a wide vicinity in front of me.
I wasn't sure how I took damage from that attack as well... but Illya was going out of her way to protect me, to stop any fatal injuries... she's my ally...
We both fell onto the floor in front of Austin, and my leg broke from the pressure of Illya's body and more blades that shot out.
"You've fallen very far if this is your true ability... go on, tell me you have more," Austin said. He picked Illya up by her throat and rose her into the sky.
Come on Rin... get up... I looked up, past Austin's rippling clothing in the wind, and was able to see something underneath his shirt.
A glowing White Stone.
Austin started to squeeze Illya's throat, and I launched myself off of the ground at that very second.
The pain in my leg was excruciating, almost making me black out as I tore more and blood started to clot from the bone poking into the rest of my skin.
And I opened my mouth, taking a bite out of Austin's forearm, and causing him to drop Illya.
"What a dumb decision," He said before I let go, filling my mouth with razor blades, and some blades that poked out from the bottom of my jawline.
I was kicked in the stomach right after and sent into the same water pipe, bleeding so much that the water had a red hue to it now.
Shit...
