The Singularity Incarnation

The Entity, which still remained unknown to both Illya and me, was split between us. I didn't have the full delusion that usually followed with it, so I was left super confused trying to rationalize it.

When battling two people at once, I've realized that a part of the stride of battle is finding a gap in which you can outnumber the opponent. Illya and I fighting Austin first, and then Amy would result in an indefinite win.

With the Entity split between Illya and me, we both ran at Austin and Amy separately, clashing together with sabers that I've been previously familiar with before.

As Austin would swing at me, I would grab onto his wrist, and push him back with gravity before tearing him in half. His blades would shoot off in the same, predictable pattern with the Eye of Providence.

Austin scaled some of the poles nearby on the bridge, pushing blades out of the ground everywhere he walked. I focused in on him, honing my senses, and burst off the ground with gravity.

I've been able to manipulate it for a long while now, but never this accurately. Usually, when I manipulated gravity, something around me shifted and the target I wanted to was affected by it. Now that I'm the target, it left me feeling odd, yet familiar. This ability was foreign to me... yet I've made it into my own.

I followed Austin up the mess of cement and poles, followed by lush bushes that were knocked over by the wind pressure of several attacks, and other destroyed buildings made of wood.

I used my gravity to cut him off, snapping the pole in half, and causing him to trip up on his next move. I jumped above him with the saber primed into a perfect position to stab him, and Amy hit me with another attack.

She suffered a pretty major one from Illya, in which her elbow was disconnected from the rest of her arm, and her jaw broke under the pressure of one of Illya's punches. Blood spurted out of her nose as she struck Amy, and both were sent into the bridge at amazing speeds.

It collapsed underneath Austin and me, so I used my gravity to protect myself from damage.

As the bridge collapsed, the blades underneath Austin's feet all shot at me. They were easily deflected, but he got the jump on me when I was least expecting it.

He dug his hand into my shoulder, not with a sharp blade, but with a fast movement. From there, he grew his blades in my body, which tore apart my organs, made me bleed what felt like an infinite amount, and staggered me while I looked back up at him.

"Sucks... doesn't it? To be on the receiving end of all pain?" Austin asked me.

The glimmering eye in his skull, the one that activated when he used his Eye of Providence... was different. This eye was capable of much more, an amplification of powers, I think is the best way to explain it.

I honed in on that eye, focusing on it with the Eye of Providence as strands healed all of my wounds. I couldn't feel fatigue with this entity but I sure as hell could feel pain.

"How about... I rewrite your history, and call an end to this charade?" I asked Austin from behind myself.

It was my understanding that the Singularity Incarnation was an ability that Ali Asterio possessed, not only in The First Trial but in the Real World, over 400 years ago. This Incarnation could move buildings if she willed it. It tore apart the ground and maneuvered any way she wanted. It was all focused on a singular point, a mass of locatable energy she could use however she wished. The singular point, called The Singularity, was only ever attributed to the use of Gravity in my mind.

I could not unlock Ali Asterio's true powers. Not to the fullest extent. I didn't have the body, the blood, or the will for it. I was not a Pure Asterio... but I wasn't going to hold back what I was capable of either.

From the very edge of my claws, I felt strands amassing. It crawled up my claws until it reached my left hand. The strands amassed, swirling around my entire hand like a glove.

The ground underneath us shook, slowly shaking more and more until Austin showed signs of recognizing it.

From out of nowhere, I stuck my right hand into his skull, grabbing onto his eyeball with my fingers, and ripping it out of his head.

Golden, Black, and Blue Strands all ripped out all at once, adding to the mass of strands on my left hand. It churned in color as the ground shook one last time, and launched us upward like it was a catapult.

Austin, clutching his head, was screaming out in pain. Illya caught on and blocked Amy out of the equation as things became dire.

My clothing flapped in the wind as I rose above him, witnessing the perfect landscape that Quake destroyed.

That Entity was getting closer, as the horn became sharper, my teeth became sharper, and the claws got longer. I charged my shoulder back, feeling every muscle fiber rip apart as I pulled as much energy as physically possible from the Singularity Incarnation.

Sky wasn't the only one training... he wasn't the only one suffering... we all did... some way... or another...

Whipping my entire arm back, blood shot out of every orifice in my body. My nose, eyes, mouth, and ears, wrapped around me in a circle, and all added to the strands in my left hand.

As Austin was trapped in the sky, not being able to summon his blades from anywhere, my hand got closer, and closer to him, and the strands in my left hand consumed the entire thing.

It ate its way up my arm, up into my elbow, and solidified into a solid black and gold coloring that tattooed my skin.
