Do Not Forget

"NO! NO! This isn't her fight! This is ours! Let her go!" I screamed out at Cole.

[CURRENT HEART RATE: 71]

"Hm... why would I do that, when it's so easy to torture you?" He asked me. He sent The Retriever at her once more and I quickly blocked it while swinging the saber, picking Faith up, and running in the opposite direction.

"Dad...? What's going on...? Why do you have... those marks..." Faith muttered. She just pushed herself out of sleep, got out of my arms, and looked ahead toward Cole.

"You're going to run... where exactly? There's nothing left for you to do, nowhere left for you to go... just to die, and why not take out Faith as well? Might as well," Cole said with a smile on his face.

Out of total shock, Faith summoned a golden saber in her left and right hand, giving one to me to hold in my right hand.

"They're not powerful like yours... but you'll like them. I'll help you, we'll kill Cole," Faith told me.

Her body lit up in golden coloring as strands sprouted from her legs. Golden tattoos appeared all over her body, her eyes burned in their red color, her hair shifted into a perfect shade of white, and her eyes were dangerously close to mine on The Isle.

"So be it... do you want to open the rest of that dome to let everybody else in too?! I would be okay with a twenty-six on-one, it would be far too easy," Cole said.

"Sky barely needs me here to beat you, Cole Achamo," Faith said. Unlike before, Faith had become somebody to depend on, somebody with more power than believable... just like me. As if she was my real daughter.

Faith ran at Cole first. She was by no means as fast as him... but I think she knew that.

I got between the two as Cole used a burst of speed to run behind her, and I quickly blocked his hit while Faith turned her head to look back at him.

She held out her left hand, with the White Stone shining brightly in his direction.

"[SYSTEM AFTERIMAGE]"

The words she spoke echoed in my mind, and as she did, her eyes turned a sharp blue and she started to mirror my exact moments, holding her arm out to shoot ice out of it and push it toward me.

I used my stone to deflect it, just as Cole reacted by jumping out of the way. I launched it up in the air, tearing his arm off with the icicle and leaving him stunned while curving his head in confusion.

"There's no way you should be able to access that ability... that's not yours," Cole said. He landed on the ground, staring at Faith in the same confusion as her eyes turned red again.

"There's so much you don't know... the part of you that gave me everything I had is laughing within the lost maze that is your brain. How about this one? Do you remember this one?!" Faith shouted out.

Black strands started to sear her body and my System lit up once more.

"[SYSTEM ANNIHILATION]"

Her body began to deform as black strands formed two extra arms on her back, capable of holding Cole in place for a long enough period of time to allow me to strike.

I swiped down with the saber Faith handed me, and it evaporated as soon as it touched the top of Cole's head. I followed up with my other saber, and when a singular strand hit his head, Cole's neck burst out like a bomb and exploded in a mess of pink slush while Faith's arm absorbed some of the strands that left his body.

"[SYSTEM EVAPORATE]"

When Faith held out her hands again, with both palms facing opposite directions on her body, there was a sphere around her that looked grey and expanded past Cole while ripping him to shreds. As soon as the strands passed by him, he looked like he was sliced into pieces.

"[SYSTEM LOGOUT]"

With Faith's next declaration, Cole's head shot back ninety degrees so he was staring at the top of the dome, and from the exact location that Faith's saber hit him in the head, his forehead began to crack and shine with the same white light that was on my stone. They blinked in the same pattern, at the same time, with the same brightness.

"[SYSTEM INCINCERATE]"

Faith screamed out next. Her fist was cocked back at the lowest point it could've gone, and it shoved itself straight into Cole's chest, rapidly exploding with more strands that sliced him up as everything else hit the perfect combo, and caused Cole to spit up blood for the first time while fighting him.

Faith was shot back toward me, flying violently through the air as her eyes grew weaker. I made an effort to catch her with strands and slow her down, holding her in my arms while watching the marks all over her body start to glow red.

"He's... he's vulnerable... but so am I... for all damage you do to him, I will suffer the same... Dad... you have to kill Cole... NOW!" Faith grabbed my collar and pulled me close, saying something so wildly unbelievable that I felt time freeze.

"What...? No... you can't ask me to do that... not if it puts you in danger..." I muttered, looking down at her.

Faith held out her left hand, placing it close to my chest.

"System... Restore..." She told she said out loud.

"Dad... I will show you what you gave me, four hundred years ago... please... do not forget..." Faith told me.
