Variance Sky

He was awakened, and he moved with a calculated path in each step that he took. Obsidia launched one of her arms toward him and Dad slapped it away, causing an explosion of flesh that led all the way up to her body. Obsidia severed her arm before it could directly connect to her body.

Something about the way she looked when she cut off her own arm was...funny. Dad barely moved, but she had to make so many moves to counter his. He had all three sisters within his body...but what was it doing to him?

Obsidia made a flurry of attacks as fast as my eyes could perceive, and I jumped into action once more. I ended up behind Obsidia with an Iridescent Saber charged back, only to be met with text in my eye.

[Duck.]

I quickly crouched my body as far back as I could, and a large slash appeared right in front of my head, which was parallel to the floor.

The Iridescent Slash came from Dad's fingertips, cutting Obsidia in half and causing her body to regenerate in a strange way.

She didn't get back the legs she lost, but instead only had two. Only one of her arms were missing that filled the area of her back, and she still had seven heads, all of which had three eyes.

"Come on then, Sky Asterio!" Obsidia said. She charged forward with all six and a half pairs of arms wielding Black Sabers, and simultaneously slashing at Dad.

I wasn't sure how he perceived a path through the mess of Black Strands in front of him, but he jumped through a path that left him untouched, and spun his body with his hands expanded outward.

A hit connected with Obsidia that caused a burst of wind pressure. Buildings were incinerated in the heat Dad created and Obsidia was sent flying through the steaming air around her. The ground and everything around him was destroyed as his hands were imprinted with molten metal.

"Umbra's gauntlets weren't able to keep up..." Dad muttered, turning his head back toward the steam to see Obsidia flying back through it, with six heads and four pairs of arms.

"You cocky son of a bitch!" Obsidia said.

Through the steaming smoke that was now creating lava around the two, Dad bolted back and forth with Avie's speed, making it even hotter. Even I could feel the heat now.

My one big question wasn't what was going on...it was when do I fit in?

[On go, throw that Saber toward me]

I saw another message in my eyes, and willingly listened to it, holding it back and priming it straight toward Dad's blurring image.

[3. 2. 1...go]

I threw the Saber as fast as possible and a beam of ice as big as a building shot through the lava, instantly turning everything into a mix of stone and other igneous rocks that were all risen into the air and turned into spikes of ice that impaled Obsidia and stuck her to the ground.

How did he have time to think of that?!

Dad kicked off of the air and blasted lava all over the rest of the city, keeping a path of Strands to cover me and keep me safe from everything. I ran closer to the battle, priming another attack that would help him instead of impeding him.

[Incarnation of Thousand Punches]

Obsidia announced something that felt very self-explanatory and I became worried over the power it would unleash onto Dad. It felt like time slowed down at Obsidia sped up against it. In a matter of five seconds at the absolute longest, Obsidia and Dad were trapped in a heap of smoke from the amount of punches.

[Raise your arm at a ninety degree angle and reinforce it or else it will come off]

I listened to the words in my eyes and held my arm out, putting everything I could into it to prime it for whatever he had planned.

From the heap of smoke, Obsidia came barreling out like she was launched out of a cannon. Her head hit my arm at such an intense speed that I was taken with her as I was stuck connecting the hit. We were launched about a mile away from the point of impact and I felt burns in my arms from not reinforcing it enough.

[PREDICTION: BEHIND YOU]

I ducked once more and dodged a fatal strike from a bone-fragment, kicking it away and slashing upward with my own Golden Saber. I couldn't use too much in fear of losing more energy.

I backed away from the encounter and stared at Obsidia from afar, peeking from the crumbling cement of homes and the smoke they produced.

"I better do what I can to you before I handle that asshole." Obsidia said to me.

From her right shoulder, Dad's head peeked over and he smiled.

"Who, me?" He asked. He grabbed onto her face and pushed her into the ground, pushing Strands into her body and causing an Earthquake around our position. Obsidia looked as if she was being burned alive from the pressure of his hit. Dad grit his teeth while he smiled, enjoying the screaming coming from Obsidia.

[Attack me.]

I listened to Dad and ran forward with a golden saber, slashing down at his body. So many things happened in the fraction of a second it took for me to process it.

I saw the saber connect with Dad's body, and then Obsidia and him switched. Then, when Obsidia went to block the saber coming from my hand toward her stomach, Dad switched with the saber and it struck her knee, leaving her in perfect position for a punch straight to the center of her face.

Sky broke all three barriers of perceivable reality with one punch. Iridescent Strands covered the entire area around him, and when the hit connected, a pulse of wind shot out, cutting through buildings, destroying homes, upturning roads, and even striking a sliver off of the full moon in the sky.

What the fuck...?
