CP or combat power will be a bit different. Combat Power (CP) in the Pokémon world is closely tied to a Pokémon's Racial Value. Racial Value represent the inherent strengths and weaknesses of each Pokémon species and serve as a foundation for determining their overall capabilities.


Like a level 30 Magikarp could not exceed its CP up to 73 until it level ups or evolves to Gyarados. While a level 30 Gyarados could not exceed 2907 Combat Power until it mega evolves or level ups.
