Feathers

"Are you sure about this, son?"

"It's for my kid, dad. Just get on with it."

Currently, I am in the garden with dad and the rest of the girls are watching us. Though they are watching, they are scared of looking at what we're about to do.

"Just to make sure, just one side or all six?"

"All six. We have to get all the feathers and use the bones on something like a baby crib for Kaela."

"Alright, stretch them out as far as you can."

While I let out my wings, I stretch them out while showing my back to dad. Since he's going to be using his red axe, it's guaranteed he'll cut them off cleanly.

"Wait!"

Just when dad was about to raise his axe, Elena rushes to us with tears in her eyes.

"Elena?"

"Please, wait! Can you reconsider doing this? There's no need to hurt yourself!"

Dad puts down his axe and lets out a sigh. After that, he turns away while scratching his head.

I guess he wants me to at least calm Elena down before we start.
